JOB ANALYSIS INTERVIEW QUESTIONS SCRIPT

Good day! I am Patricia Guardiana and I am an HR analyst, and I know that you are
already aware that this interview that we will conduct today is for the Job analysis
interview, for us to be able to update our existing job analysis in your job position and to
gather a reliable information about your job so, I am anticipating that you will provide an
honest and accurate answer and information for all the questions that I will ask and given
to you.
So, I just wanted to inform you again that this interview session will be recorded for me
to catch up those answers that you will provide. So, let’s start!
So, you are Ms. Kaira Vasquez and your job position is a Production Assistant?
ANSWER:
Yes, that’s right.
1. So, can you tell me a brief job summary of your position as a P.A?
ANSWER:
As a Production Assistant, or Production Crew Assistant, I serve on film, television or theater
sets assisting the Producers and Directors of a production. My main duties include printing and
distributing scripts, relaying messages between crew members and running errands for
Directors and Producers.

2. What are the main duties and responsibilities of your job?

ANSWER:
My main duties and responsibilities as a Production Assistant includes; moving equipment in
the set up to 50 lbs., I operate office equipment, such as copiers and faxes, I also answer phone
calls, I transport people or run errands using a motor vehicle, perhaps using my own car or one
provided by the production. I also assist with on-set catering, and I respond to requests from
anyone involved in the production.

3. Give me some of your difficulties about your duties and responsibilities that you
experience or experiencing as a P.A?

ANSWER:
As a Production assistant I found it very challenging because of a lot of responsibilities that I
need to be done at a specific and right time like difficulties in transporting people and some
important equipment for the set on time and running errands for them.

4. So, in terms of busy and stressful schedule and workload that you have as a P.A,
what did you do or what are you doing to handle and cope up with it?

ANSWER:
In terms of busy and stressful schedule and workload that I have, the things that I do to handle it
right is creating my own planner that includes my task or objectives that I need to be done every
minute and every day. Because organizing my schedule right is really a huge help for me as a
P.A.
5. As a P.A, to whom do you report?

ANSWER:
As a production assistant I need to report to our Associate Producer/ Producer.

6. And to whom do you cooperate?

ANSWER:
I cooperate to the Production staff and also to our Producer.

7. What is the background of education needed to be a Production Assistant?

ANSWER:
At least High school graduate or Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Film, Communications,
Advertising, or an artistic field such as costume or graphic design would be helpful to be a
Production assistant.

8. So, is there any job experience that is required or needed to be a Production


Assistant?

ANSWER:
I think some of the experiences needed or required to be a P.A., I think they need to have at
least 1-3 years of television or film production experience, they also need to have knowledge of
Final Cut Pro or similar non-linear editing software, Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and a
professional experience in driving.

9. What is the essence of your job position in the organization or in your


department?

ANSWER:
The essence of my job as a Production assistant, when it gets down to brass tacks tax, without
P.A., nothing would get done. We are basically the glue that keeps everything together. I do the
little things that are almost never noticed but required to keep the production on schedule. As a
P.A. I help or we help to keep the entertainment world running because it takes us to be
detailed, oriented, dependable, and creative to be successful in this role.
