It talks about one thing and it’s not compare with
another.
Or it simply describe a noun.
Example: The coffee is hot.
Comparative Degree
Compare two nouns to show which has a lesser or
greater degree. We always use the word “than”
after the adjective.
Example: Fire is hotter than the coffee
As we can see than is place after the adjective
There are rules in forming the comparative degree
of adjectives.
Adding-er to 1-syllable
Exmaple: tall-taller

Changing y to I and adding er for

This compares more than two nouns to show

We always use the word “the” before the

There are also rules in forming the superlative
degree of adjectives
