AIFS faces currency exposure because: - It receives revenues primarily in USD but incurs significant costs in EUR and GBP due to its international operations. - Fluctuations in USD against EUR and GBP can impact AIFS' profitability if the currency movements are unfavorable. Commentary On Speak By Laurie Anderson
In seventh grade, I saw the book Speak by Laurie Anderson on my desk, and I began
reading it. I didn t get far, but it was good the heart wrenching, crying kind. The next
year, when we were required to read it, we read some in class. Our teacher read most of
the parts we did in class, and one could tell that this book was very special to her.
Speak is about a girl, Melinda, who was raped at a party the summer before high
school. Melinda was raped by a senior who had a history of sexually assaulting girls,
and after the incident, she was scared as any victim would be and called the police. She
couldn t say anything and ran before the police could arrive. Because of that, she lost all
of her friends. Throughout the book, Melinda copes
Prosocial Behavior And The Human Existence
The human existence is one that for the most part stays unexplained. As soon as we
find a way to explain why we do what we do, it takes a very small amount of time
before someone has another explanation that is accepted. An example of this is prosocial
behavior. Prosocial behavior is simply the act of doing something that benefits a person
or people around you. This behavior can be interestingly mapped all throughout human
history with different motivations along the way. From a religious perspective,
humans have a willingness and duty instilled in them by a creator to help out their
fellow man. This is evident in the Bible with the story of The Good Samaritan where a
man was beaten close to death and left in the street and the only person that stopped to
help him was a man that despised the type of person he was. Why would he stop?
From an evolutionary perspective, it would be logical to assume that the earliest
humans benefitted from having each other around as a protection and survival source
but also for a foundation for emotional support. We are obviously not wired to go
through this world alone. Both of these positions prove the existence of a natural
prosocial behavior, but they still leave open the idea of why and how it occurs when
there is no apparent incentive for helping.

The act of helping someone for no other reason than to help them is called altruism. For
the sake of traveling through this concept with the largest picture in mind, we have to

CHRISTOPHER NOLAN
Christopher Nolan is considered an English American film director, screenwriter, and
producer and Auteur. Nolan is a man of talent who is known as one of the smartest, most
creative, and successful directors in the film industry today. He is widely recognized after
his first successful feature movie Following(1998),a noir thriller film.Which was
recognized at a number of international film festival.Common themes and actors can be
seen throughout Christopher Nolan s films,he is also famous at narrating the movie in a
non linear way.In the next paragraph im going to discuss why would i consider him as
one of the best modern times auteur.

One of the qualification of being an auteur according to French New Wave film
director and film critic Francois Truffaut is that a good director exerts such a
distinctive style or promotes such a consistent theme that his or her influence is
unmistakable in the body of his or her work. This statement,it s like it s describing
Christopher Nolan and his works, especially in the writing of his films and how he
creates a relatable world within his films and matches it with a completely unrealistic
plot. For example in his film, Inception he creates a real world in which the audience
can completely relate to, setting the bulk of the film in Paris. However the plot of the
film ensures that the Parisian location is set in a dream conscious state so it is not
entirely relatable to
The Cotton Gin And The Assembly Line
The cotton gin and the assembly line may seem at first glance like they are not that
important but their lasting effects explain why things like manufacturing operate the way
they do today. The cotton gin is a simple box. It has gears and a screen that with a crank
on it that, when turned, is used to separate the cottonseeds from the cotton. The assembly
lineinvolves a pathway where a car or other item moves from station to station. A
specially trained worker at each station will work on one specific area of the car or item
before passing it along to the next station. The cotton gin and the assembly line affected
history through the wars that both influenced and the industries, such as modern factories
and fashion, that they contributed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The inventor of the cotton gin Eli Whitney almost went broke because as a result of

An invention can be be so valuable as to be worthless to the inventor. Eli Whitney.
With the invention of the cotton gin, America supplied three quarters of the world
with cotton during the 1800s While the cotton gin did do well in supplying the world
with cotton it increased slavery. #1 In 1790, there were 657,000 slaves in the south and
after the invention of the cotton gin In 1810, there are 1.3 million slaves in the south.
In 1793, Whitney patented the gin and at the time, 188,000 pounds of cotton are
produced. In 1810, there are 1.3 million slaves and 93 million pounds of cotton are
produced each year. As a result of the increase in slaves, more than 600,000 US citizens
died on the Civil War battlefields. The Civil War can be attributed in some ways to the
invention of the cotton gin.#9 The cotton gin was a very important

Thomas Jefferson s Monticello
Thomas Jefferson s Monticello is a great example of neoclassicism, the renewed
emphasis on the classics. Parts of Monticello that show ties with classicism are the post
and lintel style, the octagonal dome, and the combination of the two styles (Greek and
Roman).
Monticello is a beautifully designed house. In fact, it is Thomas Jefferson s house. The
most obvious of the styles in Monticello is the post and lintel/Greek style temple. The
front porch area of Monticello has four pillars and a pediment that rests atop the four of
them. The Greek temples also had this style. The famous Parthenon was a full version of
this Greek architectural form. Along with the Parthenon is the Pantheon. The Pantheon is
so much like Monticello. The Pantheon
Currency Hedging at Aifs
Q1. What gives rise to the currency exposure at AIFS? * Currency exposure is the extent
to which the future cash flows of an enterprise, arising from domestic and foreign
currency denominated transactions involving assets and liabilities, and generating
revenues and expenses, are susceptible to variations in foreign currency exchange rates.

Mystery Of Matter Ethics
In this essay, I will analyze the ethical and moral decisions of the scientists from the
Mystery of Matter video series on The Public Broadcasting Network. Before I begin, I
will clarify the differences between ethics and morality. Morality is a person s own
values, and ethics are the widely accepted values of a culture. Ethicsencourage scientists
to make the right decisions through criminal law, peer pressure, and the respect of
professional societies. For example, the ghastly, human experiments of Josef Mengele on
twins at Auschwitz were unethical. The ethics of the party in power established by Adolf
Hitlerin Germany, the Nazis, permitted these experiments. The ethics of the country s
inner circle were flawed. There were no criminal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In January of 1939, two German scientists split a Uranium atom. This discovery,
however, came at a time of increased tension in the world. Nazi Germany had invaded
Poland that same September, and the German project to develop an atomic bomb
started shortly afterward. By December, Werner Heisenberg, a German scientist, had
discovered, through his calculations, that nuclear fission reaction chains would be
possible, and the uncontrolled energy released by them could be many times more
powerful than any conventional explosive. It became the fear of refugee scientists
from Germany that the Nazis would be the first to develop this bomb, and these fears
led to the creation of the Manhattan Project. Science became extremely important to
the military at this time. Glenn Seaborg and the other scientists had to make the
decision whether or not to develop this bomb which could snuff out so many lives and
obliterate whole cities. The new science of the atomic bomb would change everything
about how wars were fought. The Nazis, if they built the bomb first, would certainly
win the war, and thousands of American lives would be lost. In the end, it came down
to whether or not developing a weapon that would potentially take away lives to save
lives was ethical. Glenn Seaborg s discovery of new elements that could be
manufactured to create an atomic bomb and his participation in the Manhattan Project
could be considered ethical, because the development of the bomb saved lives that
could have been lost had the U.S. invaded Japan, an axis power in World War II that
refused to surrender. As quoted by Robert Oppenheimer, Now, I am become Death, the
destroyer of worlds . In this quote from Hindu sacred scripture, the god Vishnu is trying
to persuade the protagonist of the story to do his duty, and Vishnu shows him his
