IP Networked Public Address

& General Alarm System
The Exigo system is designed to meet the requirements of Public Address & General Alarm
systems for offshore installations, ships and other demanding areas. The system is scalable and offers a set of standard
and optional features making it ideal for all kinds of installations.

The Exigo system is a native IP system designed to use any type of network equipment and each device is self-
monitoring. The devices themselves will report any faults to the system controller allowing for a centralized monitoring
of all connected devices. The system controller is also the integration point for the system and enables a wide variety
of integrations spanning from analog integration, digitial IP-IP audio integration using SIP to remote monitoring using
a SDK/API or SNMP.

The system can also utilize innovative addressable IP loudspeakers. The IP loudspeakers are individually addressable,
configurable and monitored. Each IP loudspeaker features a maximum 10-watt audio effect and is powered over the
Ethernet connection.

ACM Communication Systems

The Vingtor-Stentofon ACM system unites and enhances a vessel’s safety systems by providing outstanding on-board
communication. The ACM solutions have three main system variants.

These are:

The ACM systems provide reliable, robust and proven communication solutions. The systems have been continuously
developed and enhanced to take advantage of new technologies such as IP Networking. The various ACM systems
are built around the AlphaCom XE intercom server/exchange. The AlphaCom server/exchange is an advanced
communication switch designed to meet the growing needs of internal and external communication onboard marine
vessels. The server/exchange features advanced functions such as 1-bit audio technology (20 kHz audio), IP switching,
Web services, and a wide range of integration options.
AlphaCom XE is a modular platform, supporting IP as well as analog telephones and networking. This modularity and
flexibility is reflected in our product portfolio comprising various system packages. These system packages fulfill the
requirements of all vessel types, from small conventional vessels to large advanced ships. (See table on page 5 for a
list of capabilities of the various ACM systems.)

PHONTECH CIS 3000
The CIS 3000 Talk-Back System consists of a line of different
master stations: Type 3100 (5 ext.), type 3101 (10 ext.), type 102
(20 ext.), and the extended facility units 3130/3131/3132 (15 ext.
+ 4 remote). The compact design is made according to DIN 144
standard sizes, harmonizing with our other models for console
mounting. All master stations have a black keypad with integrated
operator switches, indicator LEDs, loudspeaker, microphone and

Calling system type ITCS-A is realised using control unit type ITCS-1A (single) or ITCS-2A (double), arbitrarily number of calling
units type ITCS-C1, ITCS-C2 , ITCS-C3 and/or ITCS-C4 and reset unit type ITCS-RS. If calling unit type ITCS-C4 is used, it
comprises also the call reset function, so there is no need for further reset units. System can be additionaly equipped with

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
By operating "POWER" switch on the control unit ITCS-1A (ITCS-2A), power supply is turned on. Pressing push button "CALL"
situated on the calling unit ITCS-C1, ITCS-C2 , ITCS-C3 or ITCS-C4, call starts. Audio and visual alarm is on. Pressing the
"ACCEPT" button on the control unit ITCS-1A (ITCS-2A) or repeater unit ITCS-R1 call is accepted. Audio alarm goes off, but
visual signalization remains until the call is reset by push button "RESET", on ITCS-RS or ITCS-C4 (situated on the place from

The Vingtor-Stentofon Infotainment & IPTV system with its comprehensive functionality in a highly HW-efficient setup is ideal for
marine vessels. Based on forefront technology, the IPTV system is easy to set up and configure, and provides customized interac-
tive solutions in addition to conventional TV channels. The IPTV technology enables broadcast television via IP networks with HD

 IP DECT Solution
DECT (Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) is a European standard developed by
ETSI for digital cordless phones, and it has a dedicated frequency range. The system consists
of single-cell wireless phones connected through base stations to a DECT server, usually inter-
faced to a PBX and/or external telephone lines.

The DECT platform can also serve as a mobile platform for receiving and distributing alarms
and messages. The frequency range is reserved exclusively for voice communication applica-
tions, and therefore, is less likely to experience interference from other wireless devices such
as baby monitors and wireless networks. The new generation DECT (also known as CAT-iq) also
supports wideband audio.

Zenitel has extensive experience with the deployment of DECT solutions in harsh environments
and has developed special solutions for these areas.
