Bible Verses about Not Giving
Up
Compiled by The BibleStudyTools Staff on 02/19/2021
When you feel like giving up, be reminded that
God loves you and wants to live life to the full!
God's plan is to prosper you and not to harm
you. If you're struggling in life, don't give up -
there are better things yet to come!
While there are many things that demand our
time and attention that we should leave
behind such as unhealthy relationships, jobs,
and habits, it's also important to keep fighting
for what is good and right. Fight for your
success, fight for your marriage, fight for your
kids, fight for your health - don't give up!
Know that you are not alone, and know that
we are in the hands of God - He will provide
us with strength when we need it. Use these
Bible verses about not giving up to find
renewed strength in God. Keep going!

Hebrews 12:1-3
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by
such a great cloud of witnesses, let us
throw off everything that hinders and
the sin that so easily entangles. And let
us run with perseverance the race
marked out for us,
2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer
and perfecter of faith. For the joy set
before him he endured the cross,
scorning its shame, and sat down at the
right hand of the throne of God.
3 Consider him who endured such
opposition from sinners, so that you will
not grow weary and lose heart.

2 Peter 3:8-9
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear
friends: With the Lord a day is like a
thousand years, and a thousand years
are like a day.
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his
promise, as some understand slowness.
Instead he is patient with you, not
wanting anyone to perish, but everyone
to come to repentance.

Philippians 3:7-14
7 But whatever were gains to me I now
consider loss for the sake of Christ.
8 What is more, I consider everything a
loss because of the surpassing worth of
knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for
whose sake I have lost all things. I
consider them garbage, that I may gain
Christ
9 and be found in him, not having a
righteousness of my own that comes
from the law, but that which is through
faith in Christ—the righteousness that
comes from God on the basis of faith.
10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know
the power of his resurrection and
participation in his sufferings, becoming
like him in his death,
11 and so, somehow, attaining to the
resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already obtained all
this, or have already arrived at my goal,
but I press on to take hold of that for
which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not
consider myself yet to have taken hold
of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what
is behind and straining toward what is
ahead,
14 I press on toward the goal to win the
prize for which God has called me
heavenward in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 4:1-11
1 Therefore, since through God’s mercy
we have this ministry, we do not lose
heart.
2 Rather, we have renounced secret and
shameful ways; we do not use
deception, nor do we distort the word of
God. On the contrary, by setting forth
the truth plainly we commend ourselves
to everyone’s conscience in the sight of
God.
3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is
veiled to those who are perishing.
4 The god of this age has blinded the
minds of unbelievers, so that they
cannot see the light of the gospel that
displays the glory of Christ, who is the
image of God.
5 For what we preach is not ourselves,
but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves
as your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out
of darkness,” made his light shine in our
hearts to give us the light of the
knowledge of God’s glory displayed in
the face of Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in jars of
clay to show that this all-surpassing
power is from God and not from us.
8 We are hard pressed on every side,
but not crushed; perplexed, but not in
despair;
9 persecuted, but not abandoned;
struck down, but not destroyed.
10 We always carry around in our body
the death of Jesus, so that the life of
Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
11 For we who are alive are always being
given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so
that his life may also be revealed in our
mortal body.
