COMPREHENSION

Read the following passage carefully and answer all the questions which follow.

The small town of Akropong was nestled in the mountains. It was a beautiful place with lush
green forests, sparkling streams, and rolling hills. The people of Akropong were friendly and
welcoming. They lived simple lives, farming and trading to make a living.

The town was surrounded by a dense forest, home to various animals and birds. The people of
Akropong respected and protected the forest, knowing its importance to their livelihood. They
believed that the forest was sacred and that it provided for them.

One day, a severe storm swept through the town, causing destruction and chaos. The strong
winds knocked down trees, and the heavy rains flooded the streams. The people of Akropong
were shocked and frightened. Many of their homes were damaged, and their crops were
destroyed.

Despite the devastation, the townspeople came together to help each other. They worked
tirelessly to clear the debris, repair damaged homes, and restore their community. The local
chief, Nana Osei, led the efforts, encouraging everyone to work together.

As the days passed, Akropong began to return to normal. The sun shone brightly, and the air
was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers. The people of Akropong were grateful for
their resilience and community spirit. They realized that they were stronger together and that
their unity was the key to their survival.

The town's children returned to school, and the markets reopened. The people of Akropong
continued to work together, rebuilding and restoring their community. They knew that they still
had a long way to go, but they were determined to succeed.
