Grade 7 (Chapter 2 Question answers)

1. Is it difficult to believe in the resurrection of the body? Why?

It should not be difficult, because the One who created us from nothing can bring us back
again.
Allah says:
“Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing?” (Qur’an
19:67)
Just as plants grow again after being dry, Allah can give life after death.

2. What should we do when tempted by Satan?

We should:

• Seek refuge in Allah by saying: “A’udhu billahi min ash-shaytanir-rajim.”

• Remember Allah (dhikr), pray, and stay away from bad environments.

• Keep good company and ask for forgiveness if we fall into sin.

3. How can we attain the everlasting happiness of Paradise?

By:

• Believing in Allah and His Messenger ‫ﷺ‬

• Doing righteous deeds (prayer, charity, good character)

• Staying away from major sins and seeking repentance

• Being patient and sincere in worship

4. What will the righteous enjoy in Paradise?

They will enjoy:

• Peace, joy, and no pain or sadness

• Beautiful gardens, rivers, and palaces

• Food and drinks beyond imagination

• Meeting their loved ones and, most of all, seeing Allah’s Face, the greatest joy of all

5. Why does man often do things that are so unworthy of him?

Because of:

• Desires (nafs) that pull him to temptation

• Satan, who whispers evil thoughts

• Forgetfulness of his true purpose

That’s why we must always remind ourselves of Allah and the Hereafter.

6. What are some of the sufferings of Hell?

• Burning fire, boiling water, and food that causes pain

• Regret, sadness, and hopelessness

• Separation from Allah’s mercy

• Continuous punishment for those who rejected the truth

7. Who will be punished in Hell?

• Those who reject belief in Allah

• Those who do evil and die without repenting

• Hypocrites and the arrogant who knowingly disobey Allah

8. How can we avoid Hell? What should we do to avoid sins?

• Always pray and obey Allah

• Stay away from haram (forbidden) things

• Repent quickly if we make mistakes

• Keep company with good people and study the Qur’an and Sunnah
9. How should a young Muslim prepare for his future?

• Gain useful knowledge (religious and worldly)

• Set goals that please Allah

• Have strong faith, good character, and work hard

• Avoid wasting time, and choose friends who help you stay on the right path

10. Why is it important never to be lazy?

Because Islam teaches us to be active, responsible, and hardworking.

The Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬disliked laziness and used to seek refuge from it in his daily prayers.
Laziness leads to failure in both this life and the Hereafter.

11. What should we do if Allah permits suffering to come our way?

We should:

• Be patient and trust Allah’s wisdom

• Understand that tests purify our hearts and increase our reward

• Say: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un” (To Allah we belong and to Him we return)

• Use hardships as a way to get closer to Allah

12. What would you counsel someone who says: “It is difficult to believe in the
resurrection of men after death. Hell and paradise are imaginary.”

I would gently say:

• Look at the world around you—life, death, and rebirth in nature all point to a
Creator who can bring the dead back.

• The Qur’an speaks logically: “And He is the One who gives life and causes death,
and to Him you will be returned.” (Qur’an 10:56)

• If Paradise and Hell were imaginary, there would be no justice for the oppressed or
reward for the good.

• Belief in the Hereafter gives meaning and purpose to life.

• Activity

• 1. Is death unavoidable? Can we know its exact time?

• Yes, death is unavoidable.

The Qur’an says:

• “Every soul shall taste death.” (29:57)

• No one can escape death, no matter how long they live.

The exact time and place of death are unknown — only Allah knows when and
where each soul will die.

• “No one knows in what land he will die.”

• 2. What is the true Muslim concept of life?

• A Muslim believes that:

• Life is a test, and we are accountable for our actions.

• This world is temporary, and the real life is the Hereafter.

• We are created by Allah and will return to Him.

• Every action in this life has consequences in the next.

• 3. What will happen to the soul after death?

• The soul does not perish. It is immortal.

• After death, the soul migrates to a new world.

• Angels question the soul in the grave:

• If the person was a believer, he gives the right answers and lives in peace until
the Day of Judgement.

• If the person was an unbeliever, he suffers punishment until the Last Day.

• 4. What is the purpose of this present life?

• The purpose is to:

• Worship Allah, live righteously, and follow His guidance.

• Prepare for the Hereafter through good deeds.

• Fulfill our duties to Allah and humanity.

• This life is a test, and our deeds determine our fate in the next life.

• 5. What signs will precede the Day of Judgement?

• The Qur’an mentions dramatic signs, including:

• The sun folding up.

• Stars falling, mountains vanishing, seas boiling over.

• Graves being opened, and the dead rising again.

• The universe will collapse, and people will be resurrected for judgment.

• 6. Does the thought of the Last Day help us to face death?

• Yes.
Thinking about the Last Day:

• Reminds us of the temporary nature of this life.

• Encourages us to do good deeds.

• Prepares us emotionally and spiritually for death and accountability.

• 7. How does our Faith in the Last Day help us to face death?

• It helps by:

• Giving us hope in Allah’s mercy and reward (Paradise).

• Instilling fear of His punishment (Hell), so we avoid sin.

• Making us grateful, humble, and purpose-driven.

• Helping us accept death as a transition to a better life for the righteous.
