CES 2026 was packed with big swings and bigger promises, but only a handful of products truly earned their moment. On the mobility side, the Strutt EV1 turned heads by rethinking the future of personal transport, while LG’s Wallpaper OLED TV proved that great design can still stop you mid-conversation. And if you've ever wanted a robot vacuum that could climb your stairs and clean every floor, the Roborock Saros Rover makes that possible.

For gamers Lenovo’s Legion Pro Rollable concept gave us a glimpse at what an ultrawide laptop could be, while the Libernovo Omni gaming chair gives stretches out and massages your back. We also saw AI move out of buzzword territory and into real products from the surprisingly useful MemoMind One smart glasses to sports tech like the Lumistar Carry, which blends training, data, and automation in a way that actually makes sense.

These are the products that defined CES 2026 for the Tom's Guide team, but let us know what stood out to you! 🚀

Escalator Pitch: Tech Explained Before We Reach the Top!

Welcome to Escalator Pitch, the series where brands pitch us on their new products and we leave it to you to decide whether you'd buy in. Oh, but there's one catch... they only have the length of an escalator ride!

Check out some of the companies we met with at CES 2026 including one we kind of had to bend the rules for, Hypershell. Hypershell's X Ultra is the world's first outdoor exoskeleton that makes movement easier than ever, so instead of having their Director of Global Communications take the escalator, they pitched us walking up stairs while *we* rode the escalator.

The Weirdest Tech We Saw at CES

Weirdest gadgets of CES 2026

Whether it’s massive TVs with almost no bezels, rollable laptops with screens that expand on command, or robot vacuums like the Roborock Saros Rover that can actually climb stairs, CES always makes us feel like we’re living in the future. All of the excitement on the show floor here in Las Vegas is the perfect way to kick off the new year.

Here are some of the standouts:

  • Eli Hormometer: Health tech was just as big as AI at this year’s show and with just an $8 test, Eli Health’s Hormometer is designed to give you a reading of your current hormone levels. This at-home saliva-based hormone test will soon be able to tell you just how high (or low) your testosterone or progesterone levels are.
  • Strutt ev1: If you were to combine Professor X's wheelchair with a Tesla, you might end up with something like the Strutt ev1. This four-wheeled "personal everyday vehicle" is not only voice-controlled, but also has LiDAR and navigation built in, so you can simply speak to it and tell you where you want to go.
  • Razer Project Ava: Instead of an AI chatbot on your phone, what if you had an AI companion on your desk? Well, that’s the idea behind Razer’s Project AVA. In the demo Tony Polanco saw, it was powered by xAI’s Grok engine but you can use whatever chatbot you want to drive this animated 5.5-inch 3D hologram.

This probably isn't the first video you're watching about the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, but it is the one that's answering the questions that matter.

Mark goes hands-on with Samsung’s trifold phone at CES 2026 to figure out how usable it really is, what the fold and creases are like, how it feels in daily use and who this phone is actually for.

When the hype wears off, is this actually a smartphone you'll want to buy?

HyperX’s Brain-Reading Gaming Headset Blew Our Mind

This feels like cheating, but it’s actually one of the most mindblowing gaming headsets Jason tried at CES 2026. The HyperX Neurable gaming headset concept is able to read your brainwaves and make you better at games.

By using EEG sensors, AI and a little bit of mindful exercise, this set of cans is able to read the stresses in your mind, calm you down and overclock your brain’s focus. And after testing it, Jason went from a skeptic to a pro gaming believer.

From rollable displays like the Lenovo ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept and the Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable that literally expand your workspace on demand, to refreshed, stealthy gaming laptops that actually make sense as everyday work machines, like the MSI Stealth 16 AI+. And yes, Dell finally did it. The new XPS line feels like it’s back to its roots and fixes a lot of what didn’t land last year.

CES 2026 turned out to be a surprisingly strong year for laptop redesigns. We’re seeing real experimentation again, not just spec bumps, and it feels like a preview of the form factors we could realistically be using over the next few years. These are the laptops we had the most fun testing on the show floor, but let us know what stood out to you from this year’s announcements.

See the full list of the best laptops from CES 2026 here.

Motorola Razr Fold Makes Its Debut

CES isn't always the destination for smartphone launches, but Motorola used Lenovo Tech World as an excuse to drop the long-rumored Razr Fold. Motorola's first book-style foldable takes aim at the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in more ways than one.

Hisense RGBY MicroLED = Jaw-Dropping Color!

Hisense came to CES 2026 with the 163MX, a 163-inch MicroLED TV that adds a fourth color (yellow) to the traditional RGB mix. That extra subpixel isn’t just a gimmick: it dramatically improves warm tones and pushes color fidelity to new heights, hitting 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut.... well, sort of.

Kate went hands-on with this massive display to see how Hisense balances scale, brightness, and ultra-realistic color all in a sleek 32mm profile. The competition is fierce, but Hisense might just carve out the RGBY space with this visionary TV.

Best Smart Glasses of CES 2025

(Image credit: Future / Tom's Guide)

CES 2026 is proving the ultimate incubator for smart glasses. When we're seeing AR glasses reaching 240Hz refresh rates in a 177-inch display and AI specs that push the limits of being seamless, everyday eyewear, you know it's heading in the right direction.

Here are the top finds from the show:

  • Xreal 1s: At $449, not only is this pair of glasses cheaper than the Xreal One, it’s better too. There’s a wider field of view at 52 degrees, the aspect ratio is now 16:10 for a bigger 1200p panel for productivity, and there’s even a 2D-to-3D content conversion tool that works in real-time directly on the glasses.
  • Asus ROG Xreal R1:  There are many use cases for AR glasses, the main one is to play games without hurting your neck. A 1080p picture with HDR running at a buttery smooth 240Hz refresh rate makes these great for on-the-go gaming without performance compromises.
  • MemoMind One: MemoMind is the new kid on the block and is actually a sub-brand of XGIMI, a company known for its home cinema projectors. The dual-eye display gives you access to features like AI note-taking, a teleprompter, online and offline translation, navigation and even karaoke lyrics. Bonus points on comfort, too

Gaming Laptops Galore!

This Rollable Gaming Laptop Is the Coolest Thing You'll See Today

Gaming laptops are supposed to be portable, but ultrawide gaming usually isn’t. Lenovo’s Legion Pro Rollable concept is trying to fix that by literally expanding the display out to the sides, turning a normal gaming laptop into an ultrawide experience on demand.

This rollable screen concept is rated for up to 25,000 expansions, weighs under 3 kilograms (which is wild considering the tech inside) and promises a more cinematic, immersive gaming experience without carrying an external monitor. When you’re on the go, this is your ultrawide monitor.

Read more about Jason's experience with the Legion Pro Rollable here.

The Lenovo ThinkPad of the Future

Lenovo's ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept seems like a laptop that is designed to merely turn heads at CES 2026 and then disappear into the ether.

But Lenovo’s vision with this laptop is to pave a path to a future where you can decide when ordering a ThinkPad if you want a rollable display or not.

Still not seeing the future? Mark's hands-on should shed some light.

Dell XPS is BACK... What to Expect for 2026

It’s kind of refreshing when a company just admits it messed up, and that’s exactly what Dell is doing with the new XPS 14 and XPS 16. After briefly ditching the XPS name for the very confusing “Premium” branding, Dell is officially walking it back.

Available for pre-order on January 6, the XPS 14 has a big redesign and a real shot at landing on our best laptops list. It is not cheap though, starting at $2,049. The good news? More affordable configs are coming.

Kate gives you a close look at Samsung’s 130-inch Micro RGB TV, the company’s largest and most ambitious RGB display to date. As brands race to claim “world’s first” in this new category, Samsung’s approach is clear: scale, color precision and design.

This massive display uses Micro RGB technology, with separate red, green, and blue LEDs for enhanced color accuracy and claimed full BT.2020 color gamut coverage. It’s powered by Samsung’s new Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, features Glare Free technology and is framed with a gallery-inspired design meant to make the TV feel more like a window (or a piece of art) than a screen.
