Anyone in the market for a new bed has three nonnegotiables on their mind: comfort, durability and value. You might find a mattress that checks two of them, but the one you miss out on will catch up to you. After all, who wants a bed that's comfy and solid but expensive, or one that's affordable but turns into a lumpy mass after a year?

With Sleep Number's new ComfortMode bed, you can hit the trifecta. It has everything: an extremely accessible price point, long-lasting support and features that increase your comfort and sleep health. Let's look at how ComfortMode will keep you from tossing and turning at night.

What is ComfortMode?

Sleep Number has always been at the vanguard of sleep wellness tech. From temperature control to personalized firmness to smart beds that adjust without your intervention, the brand is continually working to make sure you're getting a better night's sleep.

But how does a brand make its innovations accessible? Progress isn't always affordable. That's where ComfortMode comes in to change the game. ComfortMode is Sleep Number’s latest product and the brand’s most comfortable mattress below $1,600. It puts Sleep Number's signature adjustable firmness in a mattress that's easy to use.

Streamlined dreamtime

Unlike some other beds, the ComfortMode mattress requires no app or connectivity. It's controlled entirely with the included remote. With the push of a button, you can customize the firmness of both sides of the mattress, delivering a personalized experience for both you and your partner. That's the Sleep Number signature, after all.

It's not just about adjustability, though. This mattress has been reimagined. The three-and-a-half-inch plush mattress topper adds density for full body support throughout the night, giving you a more luxurious sleep. It's made to move with you during the night and then return to its original shape, ensuring you aren't sleeping on any uncomfortable lumps.

Right under that, we have the 10-inch custom foam mattress that helps manage aches and pains. It forms to the contours of your body, further personalizing your sleep experience. This portion of the mattress is also made out of temperature-balancing materials. Most U.S. adults say being too hot impacts their sleep health. If you're in that majority, you should know the materials in this mattress draw heat away from your body, dissipating it to give you the restful sleep you deserve.

Affordable luxury

ComfortMode sets a new standard for Sleep Number when it comes to delivering a premium experience at an approachable price. The company's newest adjustable base will fit within or under almost any existing bed frame. Traditional adjustable bases need room beneath the frame to move or tilt, but this base can sit directly on the floor. The base also features head-to-foot adjustability, underbed lighting and a Zero Gravity setting for those who suffer from back pain.

ComfortMode and the new adjustable base will be available starting January 20 at Sleep Number stores nationwide and at Sleepnumber.com. The queen bed starts at $1,599 and includes a remote and a 100-night trial, while the adjustable base starts at $1,399. That means you'll be able to get a premium adjustable mattress and base for under $3,000 before tax. This opens up opportunities for so many more people to experience Sleep Number's innovations. Better rest at a reasonable price, what could be better?
