GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WZTV) — President-elect Donald Trump taken to Twitter to share that his "thoughts and prayers" are with the great people of Tennessee amid wildfires.

Monday night, wildfires erupted in the Seveir County area, forcing evacuations in Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge, both popular tourist spots in the Volunteer State.

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency issued a Level 3 State of Emergency due to the wildfires which Fire Chief Miller says damaged over 100 structures. In all, officials stated 140 homes in two areas of Sevier County have been damaged.
