I had a copy of this nearly 50 years ago when I was in college. That's the historical part.
I'm a linguist. Translations never capture the meaning of the primary document. Thinking that it does is naive.
This volume also cannot serve as a prep for Talmud. The way Talmud connects through Mishnah to Torah relies on keywords that you only get in the primary documents.
So reading Danby is interesting for its naivete but not for promoting scholarshiop.
