| Description |
English: Map of the linguistic minorities in Trentino, northern Italy, as of the census of 2001. The Italian, Ladin, Mócheno and Cimbrian languages had official status in the census and could be declared by speakers. The Ladin communities are in the northeast, the Mocheno communities in the eastern centre and the Cimbrian communities in the southeast (white areas are for Italian). Nones and Solandro are spoken in the Non and Sole valleys respectively and did not have official status. It is unclear if they are a subgroup of Ladin or separate languages.
