English: An MV-22 Osprey with Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron 22 (VMX-22) departs from Marambaia Island, Brazil, after tactically inserting Marines and Sailors with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South, Aug. 4, 2014. The SPMAGTF personnel came to the island to participate in a theater security cooperation event with Brazilian Naval forces. The TSC event was made up of multiple bi-lateral exchanges to include medical treatment, improvised explosive device detection, combat tracking and combat marksmanship. Through close cooperation, the U.S. and its partners are ready to address transnational security challenges through integrated and coordinated approaches. SPMAGTF-South is currently embarked aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in support of her maiden transit, "America Visits the Americas." (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl.
