Whether you’re looking for a binge-worthy drama or a new show about serial killers, this week is full of new releases that will scratch any itch. On Netflix, there’s a new season of The Diplomat, Peacock’s got a new series about John Wayne Gacy, and on Apple TV, Mr. Scorsese promises to give us a glimpse into the mind of the Oscar-winning director responsible for movies like The Departed and Goodfellas.

New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: The Diplomat, Mr. Scorsese, Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy + More

This week marks the arrival of a new season of The Diplomat, the Netflix series starring Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, Alison Janney, and David Gyasi. Also out now is the years-in-the-making Mr. Scorsese, the Apple TV docu-series about one of our greatest living directors. And on Peacock, prepare to get creeped out by the serial killer bio-series Devil In Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, which depicts the life and crimes of the cruel killer who preyed on young men in the Chicago suburbs during the 1970s.

New on Netflix October 16: The Diplomat (Season 3)

Season 3 of Keri’s Russell’s political thriller The Diplomat is now available on Netflix. This season, Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) has become President and Russell’s character, ambassador Kate Wyler, finds herself at odds with her new boss. The season welcomes Bradley Whitford into the fold as Todd Penn, Grace husband, so get ready for that West Wing reunion.

New on Apple TV October 17: Mr. Scorsese

Director Rebecca Miller was given unrestricted access to Martin Scorsese’s personal archives while working on Mr. Scorsese, a five-part docuseries about the life and work of the legendary director. Featuring rare footage and loads of interviews with notable collaborators and peers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert DeNiro and Steven Spielberg, the show is available in its entirety now on Apple TV.

New on Peacock October 16: Devil In Disguise: John Wayne Gacy

Scary movies aren’t the only thing to watch as Halloween approaches – at the moment, it feels like every streaming platform is also releasing and onslaught of biographical shows about some of the worst serial killers in recent memory. Peacock’s entry into the field is Devil In Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, which is out this week and makes a great binge if you want to learn all about the man who would entertain children as a clown when he wasn’t busy murdering and dismembering young men. Severance actor Michael Chernus plays the clown killer.
