Sister parameter

The sister parameter could be better explained for use for non-Wikipedia linking. There is just one example for Wiktionary which says to used code "wikt" but what are the abbreviations for other projects. Perhaps "sister" needs to be added to the parameter table. Parameter tables being, as I understand, a peripheral detail of the WMF's mind-bogglingly incompetent choice of direction. Their existence makes my blood boil, which likely diminishes my usefulness in that regard.
