Good but not great

I always use this when I buy something from Apple but ordering the new iPhone 14 was a disaster as the app refused to make a preorder due to a wrong phone number (or format). Missed all the slots available at the store to pick it up on the day of the release because of this fault. Went to the actual Apple store to get help and even they couldn’t make it work and place an order. Now that preorders are more or less done, it has no issue accepting the same phone number and format that I was trying to put in for another purchase. So, in other words, I got punished by Apple because of the possible fault with the system. Not great, Apple, not great at all

Total disappointment

Apple really need to review their ordering and delivery process! Ordered new iPhone 15 Pro Max with expected delivery date a couple of days before the end of my 11 night holiday abroad. No problem I thought. Then delivery date was brought forward to a week before I was due to return. Then DPD attempt to deliver the day after I left! They failed then tried again the following day so I looked at options. Deliver a £1,300 phone to the next door neighbour who had just moved in? Well not really as I thought that was a big responsibility so opted to Deliver to a DPD pickup point. Only AFTERWARDS I was told I had to collect within 7 days or it would be returned to the warehouse. From abroad I repeatedly tried to sort it with Apple or DPD but was unsuccessful. It got worse! I took out Barclays finance and now am told I have missed a payment and it will affect my credit rating for something I never received despite Apple assuring me that had sorted it. Never again! Barclays are being very good about it and I have confidence they will sort it whereas I have no confidence in Apple or their delivery company DPD so will stick with my iPhone 13 now for the foreseeable and won’t be ordering again from this App

Beware Apple has zero customer service for paid apps and trial period issues.

I was recently charged a considerable amount of money for an unused app. Apple would not allow a refund, the support team could not say why, they had no power to make decisions and would not allow you to speak to the relevant department (I don’t really know why that team exists other than to gaslight you into thinking Apple care). Also, be warned when you ask to complain there is no such department. Only another faceless feedback page from which you will not receive a response. But they don’t tell you that, they just allow you to think the link they direct you to is complaints. So just be very careful. My situation was an app had been downloaded on my child’s phone, I had planned to cancel it within trial period but it did not appear on his apps list, or mine, when I applied for a refund after the trial was told no. There was no explanation, no discussion. I’m writing reviews where I can so it may help other people.
