Bolivia was first at the Olympic Games in 1936.
The International Olympic Committee's official abbreviation for Bolivia is BOL.[1]
History
[change | change source]Athletes from Bolivia have been in every Summer Olympic Games since 1964, except the boycotted 1980 Summer Olympics. The nation has also been in the Winter Olympic Games on several occasions since 1956, but not since 1992.
As of 2011, no athlete from Bolivia has won an Olympic medal. The National Sub-15 Football team won a gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore 2010.
Geovana Irust Morejon, an Olympic athlete in the running section, is also famous although she never won any medals.
