South Mumbai will finally have its Metro service starting in March, offering an underground route from Aarey to Worli Naka for Rs 60. The new line aims to reduce road congestion and offer faster, comfortable travel. The project faced significant engineering challenges, especially tunnelling under the Mithi River, but was successfully managed.
A mock check-in process was carried out at the Navi Mumbai airport, which is set for inauguration on April 17. Domestic flights will start in May, and international flights in July. The DGCA and AAI officials assessed the airport's readiness, with road connectivity available initially.
