Actor John Aprea, whose notable TV credits include Full House and Another World, died earlier this month. He was 83.
Aprea’s manager confirmed the news to TMZ on Sunday, saying he passed away on Aug. 7 at his Los Angeles home. A cause of death was not disclosed.
Aprea appeared on NBC’s Another World between 1989 and 1998, playing two characters: Lucas Castigliano and Alexander Nikos.
During his decades-long career, Aprea also played Manny Vasquez on Knots Landing, Sheriff Jack North on Falcon Crest and Dr. Bryce on Days of Our Lives.
Aprea also memorably portrayed John Stamos’ father in Full House, and returned in 2017 for the Netflix revival Fuller House.
Additional credits include guest stints on Pacific Blue, The Sopranos, Melrose Place, Lie to Me and CSI.
On the big screen, Aprea appeared in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather Part II as young Salvatore Tessio. His other film credits include Bullitt, New Jack City, The Manchurian Candidate and more.
Aww, loved him on Another World. Rest in peace!
Definitely Felicia’s best AW romantic pairing!
He was on the first season of Matt Houston as well.
I was just watching his guest role in Season 6 of Cold Case a few days ago. I also remember him years ago on Another World, such an amazing screen legacy he had!
Prayers for his family – loved watching him on AW. Such a phenomenal actor.
