Saints' Justin Reid: Production dips with New Orleans
Reid finished the 2025 regular season with 72 tackles (37 solo), including 0.5 sacks, and four passes defended, including one interception, across 15 games.
Reid's numbers took a slight hit in his first season with the Saints, as he tallied fewer than 83 tackles for the first time since 2021 and for just the second time in his career. The eight-year veteran was sidelined for two games, as well as the majority of the Week 13 loss to the Dolphins, with a knee injury. He also played just nine defensive snaps Week 5, so missing almost four games likely helps explain his dip in production. Reid has two seasons remaining on his three-year, $31.5 million deal with New Orleans.

Saints' Kool-Aid McKinstry: Performs well as CB1 in 2025
McKinstry finished the 2025 season with 76 tackles (59 solo) and 17 passes defended, including three interceptions, across 17 games.
McKinstry finished tied for sixth in the NFL in passes defended during his first season as the Saints' No. 1 cornerback. The 2024 second-rounder also improved his consistency as a tackler while playing over 400 more defensive snaps than he did as a rookie. McKinstry should set himself up for a solid payday if he performs at a similar level in 2026.

Saints' Carl Granderson: Tallies 6.0 sacks in 2025
Granderson accumulated 57 tackles (22 solo), including 6.0 sacks, and four passes defended across 17 regular-season games in 2025.
Granderson continued his consistent production this season, but his tackle numbers took a hit as he played slightly fewer snaps than he did over the previous two seasons. In 51 games over the last three regular seasons, the 29-year-old has tallied 20 sacks, and he's averaged 65.3 tackles per year. Granderson has two seasons remaining on his four-year, $52 million contract with the Saints.

Saints' Cameron Jordan: Logs 10.5 sacks in 2025
Jordan finished the 2025 campaign with 47 tackles (32 solo), including 10.5 sacks, and two passes defended across 17 games.
Jordan brought down Kirk Cousins in Week 18 to reach double-digit sacks for the first time since 2021. This was a massive jump from his previous two seasons, when he accumulated 6.0 sacks across 34 regular-season games. The 15-year veteran has now logged 10 or more sacks seven times in his career. Jordan played on a one-year, $6.05 million deal this season, and it's unclear if he'll re-sign with New Orleans, join a new team, or even retire this offseason.

Saints' Pete Werner: Tallies 81 stops in 2025
Werner finished the 2025 season with 81 tackles (50 solo), including 2.0 sacks, and five passes defended across 17 appearances.
Werner posted 80 or more tackles for the fourth year in a row, and he played every regular-season game for the first time in his career. The 26-year-old finished third on the Saints in tackles behind fellow inside linebacker Demario Davis (143) and cornerback Alontae Taylor (83). As long as Davis continues playing for New Orleans, Werner figures to remain in a secondary role in 2026.

Saints' Alontae Taylor: Logs strong 2025 campaign
Taylor tallied 83 tackles (59 solo), including 2.0 sacks, and 11 passes defended with two interceptions across 17 appearances in 2025.
Taylor posted slightly lower production following his career-best 2024 campaign. He still finished with 75 or more tackles for the third straight season, and he has recorded double-digit passes defended in all four seasons of his career. The 2022 second-rounder has had a strong start to his career, which should set him up for a solid payday this offseason.

Saints' Demario Davis: Career-high tackle tally in Year 14
Davis finished the 2025 campaign with 143 tackles (64 solo), including 0.5 sacks, and three passes defended across 17 games.
Davis racked up a new career high for tackles in a season, finishing tied for the 10th-most stops in the NFL in 2025. His durability and consistency have stood the test of time, as he logged his ninth straight season with over 100 tackles. The 36-year-old -- who turns 37 in January -- played every regular-season game for the 14th time in his career. Davis was under contract with New Orleans through the 2025 season, and he should remain productive whether he sticks with the Saints or goes elsewhere in 2026.

Saints' Moliki Matavao: Logs two catches in 2025
Matavao finished the 2025 season with two receptions (on two targets) for 10 yards in six appearances for the Saints.
Matavao opened his 2025 rookie season in a special-teams role before he was let go and joined the Saints' practice squad. The seventh-rounder spent time on and off the active roster toward the end of the season, as New Orleans dealt with a rash of injuries, including season-ending injuries for tight ends Foster Moreau (ankle) and Jack Stoll (knee). Matavao will look to carve out a larger role in 2026.

Saints' Damien Alford: Signs with Saints
New Orleans signed Alford to a reserve/future contract Wednesday.
Alford will get a chance to compete for a reserve role with the Saints this offseason. He racked up 20 catches for 407 yards and five touchdowns with the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL in 2025 after completing a rookie minicamp with the Chiefs last offseason.

Saints' Tyler Shough: Considered 2026 starter by Saints
New Orleans is committed to Shough as the team's starting quarterback for the 2026 season, Katherine Terrell of ESPN reports.
Shough looked impressive in the second half of the 2025 campaign, as he took over for Spencer Rattler (finger) as the team's starting quarterback midway through Week 8's game against the Buccaneers. Across 10 regular-season appearances since, Shough completed 225 of 325 pass attempts for 2,384 yards, 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions while also rushing 45 times for 186 yards and another three scores. He also played three offensive snaps versus Seattle in Week 3 and failed to complete either of his two pass attempts. New Orleans currently holds the No. 8 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but it appears the team considers Shough a potential long-term answer at quarterback and will focus on improving his supporting cast during the coming offseason.

Saints' Taysom Hill: Recovering from AC joint injury
Saints head coach Kellen Moore said Wednesday that the injury Hill (shoulder) sustained Week 18 is "just an AC," Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Hill was forced out of New Orleans' loss to the Falcons in Week 18 due to a shoulder injury, but it appears he's just managing an AC joint sprain, and not the type of issue that would significantly impede his offseason recovery. More importantly, it remains unclear whether the 36-year-old veteran intends to continue his playing career for another season. Hill is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and he told Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com in December that the decision on whether or not to retire will be made "down the road."

Saints' Charlie Smyth: Takes over as Saints' kicker late
Smyth went 12-for-16 on field-goal attempts and 13-for-13 on extra-point tries across six games with New Orleans in 2025.
The Northern Irishman joined the Saints in May of 2024 as part of the league's International Player Pathway, but it wasn't until Week 13 of the 2025 season that Smyth made his NFL debut after Blake Grupe was waived by New Orleans in late November. Smyth made quite the NFL debut in Week 13 against the Dolphins, when he nailed his lone field-goal attempt from 56 yards before successfully converting on an onside kick in the fourth quarter. Smyth's most productive performance came in the Saints' Week 16 win against the Jets, when he went 5-for-6 on field goal attempts and 2-for-2 on point-after tries. The Saints may have found their franchise quarterback in second-round rookie Tyler Shough, and if he can take the next step in his development after a full offseason under head coach Kellen Moore, then Smyth would provide some intriguing fantasy value in 2026, especially with half of his games taking place indoors in the Caesars Superdome.
