49ers' Jake Tonges: Replaces injured Kittle on Sunday
Tonges caught one of three targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 23-19 wild-card win over the Eagles.
After top tight end George Kittle exited the game in the second quarter with what is believed to be a torn Achilles tendon, the 49ers opened up more playing time for Tonges to begin the second half. Tonges has operated as San Francisco's third tight end on the depth chart for most of the season, but he's leapfrogged blocking specialist Luke Farrell whenever Kittle has missed time. The 25-year-old Tonges proved to be a viable receiving threat when called upon, averaging 4.8 receptions and 44.8 yards with three touchdowns scored in the six games that Kittle was inactive during the regular season. Assuming he's called upon to replace Kittle in the divisional-round matchup versus the Seahawks next weekend, Tonges should make a fine value play in DFS.

49ers' Demarcus Robinson: Leading receiver in WC win
Robinson corralled six of seven targets for 111 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-19 wild-card win over Philadelphia.
Robinson finally broke out of his season-long slump at the perfect time for the 49ers after he led the team in receiving in its playoff win Sunday. The veteran wideout was filling in for injured starter Ricky Pearsall (ankle/knee), who was inactive for the ninth time this season. Robinson failed to surpass 50 receiving yards in any of his 14 appearances in the regular season, so Sunday's outburst against the Eagles certainly came out of nowhere. Perhaps this performance will build up the confidence QB Brock Purdy has in Robinson, but fantasy players should not bank on a repeat performance against the Seahawks in the divisional round.

49ers' Fred Warner: Not expected to practice soon
Warner (ankle) is not expected to return to practice this week, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Warner has been sidelined since suffering a dislocated and fractured right ankle in Week 6, and there has been some hope that he could make his return to action in the postseason. The 49ers knocked off the Eagles 23-19 in the wild-card round Sunday, but head coach Kyle Shanahan said following the game that it's "not likely" that Warner's practice window will open this week prior to the team's matchup with the Seahawks in the NFC divisional round. The linebacker's next shot to play would come in the NFC Championship Game, if San Francisco is able to advance.

49ers' Jauan Jennings: Throws TD pass in odd stat line
Jennings had one reception on three targets for 45 yards and completed his only pass attempt for a 29-yard touchdown in Sunday's 23-19 wild-card game win over the Eagles.
Jennings had an unusual stat line after finishing with his lowest target and reception total since Week 6 of the regular season, while also grabbing his longest reception of 2025 and throwing a touchdown pass to boot. It wasn't the first time that the veteran wideout was asked to throw a pass in his career, as the 49ers ran a similar trick play in 2023 that resulted in a 21-yard touchdown. The 27-year-old's target share was concerning in the wild-card round, but his usage figures to balloon in the divisional round after TE George Kittle (Achilles) had to be carted off the field Sunday. WR Ricky Pearsall missed the game due to a knee injury, and his status remains in question for next week's showdown against the Seahawks, so Jennings could really be in store for a heavy workload in the divisional round if his fellow starter remains sidelined.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Overcomes two picks to beat PHI
Purdy completed 18 of 31 pass attempts for 262 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing nine times for 24 yards in Sunday's 23-19 wild-card round win over Philadelphia.
Purdy hit the ground running to begin the playoffs when he marched the 49ers down the field 76 yards on six plays for a touchdown on the team's opening drive. The 25-year-old ran into some trouble after that with a pair of three-and-out drives before coughing up a fumble out of bounds that cost San Francisco a chance at a field-goal attempt before halftime. Purdy put his resiliency on display in the second half when he overcame a pair of interceptions and threw the game-winning touchdown to RB Christian McCaffrey late in the fourth quarter. The Iowa State product will now shift his focus to Seattle, who held the signal-caller to his worst stat line of 2025 (127 yards, one INT) in Week 18 of the regular season. Purdy and San Francisco's offense will have to execute better in the divisional round if the depleted unit that just lost TE George Kittle (Achilles) has any chance of upsetting the NFC's No. 1 seed.

49ers' George Kittle: Torn Achilles confirmed
Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed after Sunday's 23-19 wild-card win over the Eagles that Kittle tore his Achilles during the game, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Kittle exited in the first half due to an Achilles injury. The 49ers found a way to advance after losing their star tight end due to injury, but the diagnosis of a torn Achilles means Kittle won't rejoin his teammates on the field during their playoff run, as Kittle will face a recovery timeline of more than six months. He may not be available for the start of the 2026 regular season.

49ers' Christian McCaffrey: Hits pay dirt twice in WC win
McCaffrey rushed 15 times for 48 yards and caught six of eight targets for 66 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 23-19 playoff win over the Eagles.
TE George Kittle (Achilles) went down midway through the second quarter of Sunday's wild-card game, so the 49ers had to rely on its remaining superstar in order to overcome the Eagles' dominant defense. McCaffrey responded to the moment and generated well over 100 yards from scrimmage while catching a pair of touchdown passes -- including the game-winning score -- to advance his club to the next round. The 49ers' dual-threat running back was bottled up against the Seahawks when these two division foes met in the regular-season finale (16 touches for 57 yards), but McCaffrey should find himself busier as a receiver in the divisional round rematch with Kittle expected to miss the remainder of the postseason.

49ers' Ji'Ayir Brown: Done for night
Brown (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against Philadelphia, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Brown suffered a hamstring injury late in the first half, and his night has now officially come to a premature end. Marques Sigle will continue to see an increase in workload in San Francisco's secondary with Brown unavailable.

49ers' George Kittle: Suffers Achilles injury Sunday
Kittle won't return to Sunday's playoff game against the Eagles after sustaining an Achilles' injury.
After being carted off the field Sunday, it didn't take the 49ers long to rule Kittle out for the remainder of the contest. Look for the tight end to undergo further testing later Sunday or Monday, but it looks like he may be dealing with a serious injury. In his absence, Jake Tonges and Luke Farrell are San Francisco's available TEs.

49ers' George Kittle: Exits Sunday's game
Kittle was carted off the field during Sunday's playoff game against the Eagles after sustaining an apparent lower-leg injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Per Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area, Kittle reached for his right lower leg after being tackled prior to his exit from the contest. At first glance, this doesn't look good for the tight end, with added context set to arrive once the 49ers make an official injury announcement.

49ers' Ji'Ayir Brown: Dealing with hamstring injury
Brown (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Eagles, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Brown suffered a hamstring injury in the second quarter of the team's matchup with Philadelphia in the wild-card round. In his absence, Jason Pinnock and Marques Sigle are top candidates to see added snaps at safety.

49ers' Trent Williams: Suiting up for playoff matchup
Williams (hamstring) is active for Sunday's wild-card game versus the Eagles.
Williams sustained a hamstring injury during Week 17 that left him sidelined for the regular-season final versus Seattle. The star left tackle will suit up for Sunday's playoff contest, which should be a significant factor for both San Francisco's rushing attack and pass blocking.
