Hurricanes' Sean Walker: Picks up helper Thursday
Walker logged an assist, two shots on goal and four PIM in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.
Walker ended an 11-game point drought with the helper. The 31-year-old has mostly served as a steady defensive presence for the Hurricanes this season, adding little in the way of offense. He's up to 12 points, 100 shots on net, 69 blocked shots, 67 hits, 24 PIM and a minus-7 rating through 44 appearances in a top-four role.

Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Nets goal in Thursday's win
Jankowski scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.
Jankowski was scratched Tuesday versus the Stars but drew back in for Noah Philp (concussion). The 31-year-old Jankowski continues to fill a fourth-line role when he's in the lineup, which is far from guaranteed to happen every game. He's at three goals, seven points, 32 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and 21 hits over 32 appearances this season.

Hurricanes' Jackson Blake: Tallies in win
Blake scored a goal on three shots and went plus-3 in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.
Blake ended a five-game slump with his third-period tally. The 22-year-old winger has maintained a top-six role with power-play time despite the recent lack of offense. He's up to 13 goals, 25 points, 94 shots on net, 28 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 44 outings this season.

Hurricanes' Taylor Hall: Earns two points Thursday
Hall scored an empty-net goal on three shots, added an assist and went plus-3 in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.
Hall has picked up five points over his last four contests. The winger is now at nine goals, 13 assists, 73 shots on net, 26 hits, 19 blocked shots, 14 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 44 appearances. Hall's recent uptick in offense, along with a spot on the second line, gives him a little more fantasy appeal as long as he can maintain that role.

Hurricanes' Joel Nystrom: Sent to AHL
Nystrom was reassigned to AHL Chicago on Friday.
Nystrom looks to be the odd-man out with the pending return of Jaccob Slavin (upper body). Nystrom has played 33 games at the NHL level this season, notching eight assists, 21 blocked shots and 38 shots on goal.

Hurricanes' Jalen Chatfield: First goal of season a game-winner
Chatfield scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over Anaheim.
The second-period tally was Chatfield's first goal of the season. The steady stay-at-home blueliner has found a bit of offense since Christmas, as half of his 10 points on the season have come in the last eight games, along with 15 shots on net, eight blocked shots, five hits and a plus-4 rating.

Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Two-point effort in win
Stankoven produced a goal and an assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.
The 22-year-old center extended his goal streak to three games when he finished a two-on-nothing break in the second period, before he helped set up a Jackson Blake tally in the third. Stankoven's scoring surge comes on the heels of an 11-game goal drought in which he'd managed just three assists, and on the season he's delivered nine goals and 21 points in 44 contests.

Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Cruises to win Thursday
Andersen made 11 saves in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.
Carolina outshot the visitors 35-13 on the night, and Andersen shut the door completely in the second half of the game. It was the veteran netminder's first win since Nov. 6, and it was an encouraging performance after he'd given up 14 goals on just 84 shots over his prior three starts. With Pyotr Kochetkov (hip) on the shelf, Andersen is seeing regular action again, but he remains behind Brandon Bussi on the depth chart.

Hurricanes' Noah Philp: Won't play Thursday
Philp (concussion) will miss Thursday's game against Anaheim, per Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News.
Philp left Tuesday's 6-3 win over Dallas because of the injury. He has two goals and three points in 17 appearances. Mark Jankowski is projected to draw back into the lineup due to Philp's absence.

Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Between pipes Thursday
Andersen will start Thursday's home game against the Ducks, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Andersen has seen limited playing time this season, but he's gone winless over nine starts since early November. During that time, he's gone 0-7-2 with a 3.85 GAA and .840 save percentage. The Ducks are scoring 3.28 goals per game this year, which ranks eighth in the NHL.

Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Won't play Thursday
Slavin (upper body) will not be in the lineup versus the Ducks on Thursday, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Slavin has played in just five games this season, and he's failed to register a point. At this point, the Denver native appears to be close to getting back into the lineup but will have to wait until at least Saturday's matchup with Seattle. Once Slavin is given the green light, he likely will replace Alexander Nikishin or Joel Nystrom on the blue line.

Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Awaiting medical clearance
Slavin (upper body) is still waiting on medical clearance ahead of Thursday's clash with the Ducks, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports.
Slavin was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. However, head coach Rod Brind'Amour didn't offer any clarity regarding Slavin's availability versus Anaheim, a situation complicated further by the team's decision not to hold a morning skate Thursday. Still, in order for the veteran defenseman to suit up, he will need to be activated off injured reserve. Once that happens, fantasy managers can expect Slavin back in the lineup.

Hurricanes' William Carrier: Adds goal in big win
Carrier scored a goal, put three shots on net, served four PIM and had four hits in Tuesday's 6-3 win over Dallas.
Carrier tallied the lone goal of the third period for Carolina in response to the Stars' tally at the start of the period. With the twine finder, he is up to four goals, nine points, 42 shots on net and 89 hits through 36 outings this season. While his blend of stats might not warrant consideration in fantasy outside of deep leagues that value banger stats, his impact on the Canes' fourth line has been solid. He is just two points shy of matching his total of 11 during his first season with the Hurricanes, giving him plenty of time down the stretch to surpass that total and push for the third 20-plus point, 100-plus hit season of his career.

Hurricanes' Nikolaj Ehlers: Grabs three apples Tuesday
Ehlers recorded three assists in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Stars.
Ehlers played a hand in each of the last three goals scored by Carolina to help close out the big win. With the trio of helpers, he is up to 23 assists, 34 points and 102 shots on net through 43 games this season. The 29-year-old winger has built up a four-game point streak that features three goals and five assists. The Hurricanes' top line has been the most efficient point-scoring line since Dec. 17, with Ehlers, Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov combining for 46 points. Not only does Ehlers hold 60-plus point potential this season, but he has a solid chance to set a new career high in points if he can surpass the 64 total he posted in 82 regular-season games with Winnipeg during the 2016-17 campaign.

Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Puts on playmaking clinic
Svechnikov tallied four assists, including one on a power play, placed two shots on net and dished out four hits in Tuesday's 6-3 win over Dallas.
Svechnikov's offensive hot streak continued Tuesday as he distributed an assist on two-thirds of the team's six goals. He assisted both of K'Andre Miller's tallies as well as the power-play goals scored by Shayne Gostisbehere and Seth Jarvis. Overall, the 25-year-old Svechnikov is up to 23 assists, 35 points, 121 shots on net and 72 hits through 43 games this season. Since Dec. 17, he has 17 points in 11 outings, tying him with linemate Sebastian Aho for the third-most points across the league in that span. Svechnikov is well on his way to a bounce-back campaign in most significant stat categories while skating in a major role on Carolina's top line. The third 60-plus point season of his eight-year NHL career could be in play at his current pace.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Tallies pair of points in return
Jarvis tallied a power-play goal, dished out a power-play assist, fired six shots on net and recorded four hits in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Stars.
In his return from a rib injury that has kept him sidelined since Dec. 20, Jarvis showcased the fire that likely was lit under him after not being selected for Team Canada's roster ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Overall, the 23-year-old rising star is up to 20 goals, 11 assists, 116 shots on net and 47 hits through 35 games this season. With there being a decent chance that Jarvis can join Team Canada as a potential injury replacement, he will likely put forth everything he has at the NHL level in hopes of impressing the coaching staff. Regardless of his chase to be an Olympian, he remains on a strong enough pace to reach the 60-plus point mark for the third consecutive season despite missing over two weeks.

Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Nets goal in revenge game
Stankoven netted a goal in Tuesday's 6-3 win over Dallas.
Stankoven landed a jab against his former team with a goal near the end of the first period to put Carolina up 3-1. Following Tuesday's twine finder, he now has eight goals, 19 points and 90 shots on net through 43 appearances this season. After a five-game scoreless streak that took him from the end of the calendar year into 2026, the 22-year-old forward has a three-game point spree that features two goals. While he's just behind the necessary point pace to reach his total from a season ago, his growth potential, steady amount of power-play time and decent shot volume are all reasons to keep an eye on him in deep fantasy leagues in the second half of the campaign.
