Full Trailer for Time Loop Horror 'Until Dawn' with Many Freaky Kills
"How many more deaths do you have in you?" "Nobody's made it past 13 nights..." Sony has debuted the first official trailer for the freaky new horror movie Until Dawn, which is based on the Playstation video game of the same name. This time loop killer horror movie is set for release in April this spring. It's directed by filmmaker David F. Sandberg, who is getting back into horror after making the two Shazam! movies and the horror movies Lights Out & Annabelle: Creation previously. A group of friends finds themselves stalked by a masked killer & horrifically murdered one by one in a lodge... only to wake up and find themselves back at the beginning of the same evening. Trapped in this remote valley, they're forced to relive the nightmare again & again - only each time the killer threat is different (a different horror genre each time). "Same night, different nightmare." Starring Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Odessa A'zion, Ji-young Yoo, Belmont Cameli, Maia Mitchell, and Peter Stormare. This is looking pretty rad - a nice set of different kills, and some weird creatures and a giant monster, and much more going on. How will they ever survive until dawn?

Religious Horror Film 'Inhabitants' Trailer Starring Anna Jacoby-Heron
"This is some nasty business you got yourself into, 'Liv." Gravitas has unveiled an official trailer for an indie horror psychological thriller film called Inhabitants, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Matt McClung. Now set for release in February for anyone curious about it. A young woman moves in with her lapsed Catholic boyfriend, going against the wishes of their respective family members. But Francis soon ends up suffering from night terrors - whispering in his sleep to a figure Olivia cannot see and sleepwalking to strange corners of the house. Her investigation leads to a terrifying and perverse discovery; they are being haunted by the ghost of Francis's childhood youth minister - an entity who is enraged by their cohabitation and has come to punish them for their sins. Scary! Starring Anna Jacoby-Heron as Olivia, Josh Andrés Rivera as Francis, with Ana Auther, Kevin Nealon, and Todd Robert Anderson. This doesn't seem particularly interesting unless you're really into Catholic horror & also need to free yourself from your sins.

This time loop killer horror movie is set for release in April this spring, and they're beginning the promo campaign by setting up the concept. It's directed by filmmaker David F. Sandberg, who is getting back into horror after making the two Shazam! movies – he launched his career with Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation anyway. A group of friends finds themselves stalked by a masked killer & horrifically murdered one by one in a lodge... only to wake up and find themselves back at the beginning of the same evening. Now trapped in this remote valley, they're forced to relive the nightmare again & again - only each time the killer threat is different (a different horror genre each time). "Same night, different nightmare." Starring Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Odessa A'zion, Ji-young Yoo, Belmont Cameli, Maia Mitchell, and Peter Stormare. This looks cool so far - another new horror movie remix.

Official Trailer for Very Creepy 'The Woman in the Yard' Horror Movie
"How she got there, you'll never know..." Universal has revealed the official trailer for a scary new horror movie called The Woman in the Yard, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (who also just directed Carry-On last month). A lone, spectral woman shrouded entirely in black appears on a family’s front lawn without explanation and warns them "today's the day." Where did she come from? What does she want? When will she leave? Only The Woman in the Yard knows. From Blumhouse, now "the most successful global brand in horror," comes a new original chiller starring BAFTA and SAG nominee Danielle Deadwyler as Ramona, a woman crippled by grief after she survives a car accident that takes her husband. So this woman just sits there and gets closer & closer? Yep this is crazy freaky. The Woman in the Yard stars Deadwyler along with Okwui Okpokwasili, Russell Hornsby, Peyton Jackson, Estella Kahiha. This trailer features barely 60 seconds of footage but it's supremely creepy - more than enough to wake up and make you feel unsettled.

One More Scary Trailer for Steven Soderbergh's Ghost Story 'Presence'
"Will leave you gasping for air." "A spellbinding horror film." Neon has debuted a final official trailer for Steven Soderbergh's ghost story horror film Presence - following up the main official trailer released last fall. Ready to open in theaters in just a few weeks after a long wait. This originally premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival one year ago and is a chilling flip on the haunted house concept - it's a shot-in-one-location thriller about a ghost's presence inside a house. A family moves into a suburban house and becomes convinced they’re not alone. The rest of the story must not be spoiled - wait until you watch it in theaters to find out what happens next. Presence stars Lucy Liu, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, Julia Fox, Eddy Maday, and West Mulholland. It's a chilling, very unsettling film with a smooth camera following a ghost that drifts around this house with a not-that-scary but also very-scary (once it gets going) supernatural story involving the kids. They released three teasers before this - but this might be the scariest trailer of them all.

Official Trailer for 'Creep Box' Sci-Fi Psychological Thriller About Death
"Where am I now? Where am I now?" Quiver has unveiled an official trailer for Creep Box, an indie horror sci-fi thriller from filmmaker Patrick Biesemans. This first premiered at the 2023 Trieste Science+Fiction Festival in Italy, and it also played at the 2024 Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival last year. After his wife's death, a scientist tries to use ground-breaking technology to determine if there is life after death, but once he is through the looking glass, there is no turning back. He investigates both a murder case and a suicide looking for answers. As his mind begins to slip, he slowly starts to descend into obsession... The film stars Geoffrey Cantor, Sean Mahon, Ian Lithgow, Katie Kuang, and Adam David Thompson. This funky little sci-fi film is about the "sense of isolation" that technology creates nowadays, as well as processing grief and the many ways someone can navigate it. It looks a bit like a fresh spin on Primer with a few dark twists & turns.
'Freelance' Indie Horror Trailer About a Haunted Freelance Video Editor
"I told you, you gotta put those videos behind you..." Gravitas has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror film called Freelance, about a freelance video editor who starts to work on snuff films. This indie film will debut on VOD at the end of this month. This is one of those scary concepts that is so obviously based on generic fears from filmmakers and gets turned into a very generic horror film. Just go watch Cronenberg's Videodrome instead - it's still damn good. When a down-on-her luck video editor takes a mysterious, well-paying job cutting snuff films, she finds herself seemingly haunted by the people in her videos... Starring Nicole Pastor, Jordan Fraser-Trumble, Stephen Degenaro, Jasper Bagg, and Hannah Brook. At least this looks good and looks unsettling - all the close-up shots of the computer & harddrive are quite cool.
Namir Smallwood in Chilling Hospital Horror 'Rounding' Official Trailer
"There's something off... it just doesn't quite add up.." Doppelgänger Releasing has unveiled a new official trailer for an indie horror film called Rounding, which is finally getting a small theatrical + VOD release starting in February 2025. This one first premiered in 2022 at the Tribeca Film Festival and despite a solid festival run, it was never released. In the meantime, director Alex Thompson went on to make Ghostlight which was a big hit from last year's Sundance. After a traumatic incident, a driven young medical resident named Dr. James Hayman transfers to a rural hospital for a fresh start, but the demons of his past start to catch up to him when he becomes consumed by the case of a patient with mysterious symptoms. Described as a "humanist and unconventional genre vision." The film stars Namir Smallwood as Dr. Hayman, with Sidney Flanigan, Michael Potts, Rebecca Spence. This trailer gets really scary in the last few seconds. And the poster for it is gorgeous - mysterious & eerie & eye-catching (see it below). Keep an eye out for this.
Wrestlers vs Satanists Horror Comedy Film 'Dark Match' Official Trailer
"Five matches. Five offerings." Who's ready to rumble (with the Devil)?! Shudder has unveiled an official trailer for an indie horror comedy film called Dark Match, which will be streaming on Shudder at the end of this month. It first premiered at the 2024 Fantasia Film Festival last year, and also played at FrightFest and Fantasy Filmfest. A group of small-time wrestlers find out just how real wrestling can get when they become guests of honor at a match held by Satanists in a small community. This wrestling horror comedy pits small-time wrestling company against a town of crazy people. With an ensemble cast led by the living legend Chris Jericho, Dark Match is heading direct to streaming on Shudder to view. The indie flick stars Sara Canning, Steven Ogg, Michael Eklund, Ayisha Issa, + Chris Jericho, among others. It looks especially fun if you're a pro-wrestling fan and horror fan finally waiting to see these two worlds mashed up.
Sophie Thatcher & Jack Quaid in Sci-Fi Horror 'Companion' Full Trailer
"Shut her down already!" Whoa what the hell is going on in this?! Another robot on the loose? Warner Bros has debuted the main official trailer for Companion, a new horror thriller "love story" arriving in theaters in January 2025 at the end of the month. They're still setting this up to be the next new M3gan of the early 2025 season - in more ways than one. "You are cordially invited to experience a new kind of love story." This is produced by the team behind Barbarian, but comes from a director making his first feature film. Starring Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid, Lukas Gage, Megan Suri, Harvey Guillén, with Rupert Friend. Companion is a sci-fi horror movie about a robotic female companion that also might still be human? Or that's what it seems like from this trailer. It's also packed with rave review quotes from critics who got to see an early screening of this last year. I'm in! Gotta see what kind of madness they've been cooking up in here.
Cinema History Making Of Doc 'George Romero's Resident Evil' Trailer
"He would not sell his soul just to get a film done." Dark Star has revealed an official trailer for the horror history documentary film titled George A. Romero's Resident Evil. This brings to light the vision that director George A. Romero had for an adaptation of Resident Evil, featuring interviews with those who were actually there, and unravels the secrets behind why it was never made. "Romero gave birth to modern horror, the modern zombie, and ultimately Resident Evil," says Salisbury. "I am honored to bring fans the untold story of his most important unmade project, to celebrate the legacy of the man that inspired me to pursue filmmaking as a career." An immersive, stylized experience, weaving together archival footage, newly uncovered documents, and fresh interviews. Taking inspiration from documentaries like Jodorowsky's Dune, Salisbury crafts a compelling narrative that revisits the people and all the creative vision behind this unproduced adaptation. The film brings to light the enduring mystery and the ambitious spirit that could have redefined the franchise's journey into Hollywood. This one is for all the geeky horror lovers out there.
