Songwriter ("If I Had My Way") and author, and a charter member of
ASCAP (the American Society of Composers and Publishers) in 1914. He
was educated in Albany public schools. His other popular-song
compositions include "Little Good For Nothing", "Mama's Holiday", "Now
That We're Sweethearts Again', "Little Shanty in Ypsilanti", "Honeymoon
Express", "There's Someone More Lonesome Than Me", and "A Gay
Caballero".
