      Murray Wilson's Thunderbird is a 1960 from the front grill and side trim, but has 1959 tail lights. Since the movie starts in 1960, maybe there was an attempt to not have the car appear brand new, or they were unaware, or picked up a non-original car not knowing and didn't care since it was set on fire towards the end.
