The killer strikes again, claiming a third victim, Taggart decides to take an active role in the investigation, turning his back on the powers that be. The blood tests confirm who the father of Anna's unborn baby was, that provides the link to a possible suspect.

It's funny, as a lifelong Taggart fan, I've never actually seen this one before, as it's the final appearance of Mark McManus, I couldn't bring myself to watch it, I'm glad I finally did however.

I've found the story rather engrossing, not the direction I was expecting it to go in, it was surprising and very good.

I loved that scene where Jean gives Marjorie both barrells, she well and truly deserved it.

This improves so much when Taggart becomes an active part of the investigation, he has been missed, but he definitely elevates it.

9/10.
