Devastating news Wildcats: The real East High from High School Musical has been damaged in a flash flood!

On Wednesday, heavy rain overwhelmed Salt Lake City, Utah's storm drains, triggering a flash flood that damaged homes and schools — including the iconic East High School where High School Musical was filmed.

HSM alumni KayCee Stroh, who played Martha Cox in the classic DCOM, took to Instagram to express her shock and heartbreak over the tragedy.

"Sad day at East High today 😩 A rain storm has triggered a flash flood," KayCee wrote on Insta. "Basement is completely flooded, here is the cafeteria and they are trying to save the famous basketball court as we speak! Fingers crossed for our iconic #easthighschool."

The pictures of the damage will break your Wildcat heart, especially since it appears to be mostly in the cafeteria and the basketball court — arguably the two most iconic places at East High.

According to KayCee, it's estimated that East High has $2-3 million in damage.

This is super sad to see, but if the REAL East High students are anything like Troy, Gabriella and the HSM gang, they're resilient!
