Something sinister has gone down in the world of paranormal activity, and it has nothing to do with ghosts. Per TMZ, Victoria Goodwin has been arrested for allegedly hiring a hitman to kill her husband, Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin. Spooky!

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Victoria — who married Aaron at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion in 2022 — had been texting an inmate in Florida about wanting to leave her marriage to Aaron and “end his existence” in October 2024. She apparently set aside $11,515 to pay the alleged hitman and communicated about giving him $2,500 up front. Victoria also reportedly sent the inmate information about Aaron’s location and filming schedule while he was shooting Ghost Adventures in California. “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room,” read a text she allegedly sent at one point. “I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update? Was it done?”

Apparently, it was not since Aaron is still very much alive, probably hunting ghosts as we speak. TMZ claims he told the tabloid he was blindsided by the news and thought he had been in a happy marriage.

Meanwhile, police arrested Victoria in Nevada last week on charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder, after the inmate’s phone was confiscated and the messages were found. She denied plotting to kill her husband and says she doesn’t remember texting the inmate, police told TMZ, but added that she thought the money she had promised to send was for cell phones.

Victoria is currently being held on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, according to records obtained by People. The Cut has reached out to Aaron Goodwin for comment and will update this post if we hear back.
