Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner going paintballing has, somehow, become the shot heard ’round the world. First, there was the tabloid mania around the fact that, while they were hanging out together for their son’s birthday, Affleck briefly held his ex-wife by the waist. Then, some sources were saying that J.Lo was pissed about the outing, and others were saying she “isn’t bothered” by it. Now, a week later, it’s time for Garner’s hunky CEO boyfriend to have his moment in the sun.
If you believe the tabloids, John Miller, Garner’s longtime boyfriend and the CEO of burger chain Cali Burger, is not pleased with all this. On Monday, TMZ reported that Miller was spotted getting into the same car as his ex-wife, violinist Caroline Campbell. This is damning intel if you want it to be, or it could just be two people who are mature enough to catch up every once in a while. We’ll never know.
Then, on Tuesday, a source told “Page Six” that Miller had “issued an ultimatum” to Garner after the paintball photos went public. “John knows there’s nothing going on between Jen and Ben, but he doesn’t think those photos are a good look and feels it’s disrespectful to their relationship,” the source said. Apparently, Miller told Garner he “doesn’t want to see anything like that again or he has no choice but to walk away.”
All this over a two-second interaction during a paintball game at a 13-year-old’s birthday party? Where both parties are wearing silly-looking tactical gear? I don’t know. Miller has been dating Garner on and off since 2018, which means that he’s been around long enough to know that Affleck and Garner are very active co-parents. Stay tuned for an anonymous source telling People any second now that Miller “doesn’t care” and “really respects their bond as parents.”
