This month in weird celebrity discoveries, we found out that Ne-Yo is a joyful participant in polyamory, Dylan Efron is anti-shower, and Tom Sandoval is convinced that Scandoval is kaput. But my favorite epiphany thus far is that Tori Spelling has some strong feelings about water, namely that she refuses to drink it.

“I don’t drink water. And when I say, ‘I don’t drink water,’ I don’t drink water,” Spelling said on a recent episode of her podcast Misspelling. “How I’m still living, no one knows. I’m like a cacti: Just water me once in a while, and I somehow survive. But I have an aversion to it.”

Got it? She doesn’t drink water. The 51-year-old further explained that water, which she “hates,” makes her want to puke. “This goes back to childhood,” Spelling explained, recalling how her mother used to crush up medication in Coke syrup. It’s unclear how exactly this is related to the water trauma, but Spelling seems to understand it. “I don’t call it a fear of water,” she continued. “I just like to say, ‘I hate water. I have an allergy to water.’”

Apparently, Spelling far prefers soda, coconut water, or wine to fulfill her hydration needs and, more specifically, ginger ale for when things are “stressful.” Also, Diet Dr Pepper when she’s “thriving.”

As for other precious liquids, Spelling remains confident in her ability to “guzzle, like, a glass of wine in, like, two seconds.” Thank God there’s no wine trauma here.
