The makers of Desingu Raja 2 have shared the film's release date, with a new poster which features the film's lead actor Vemal in the role of a cop.
Ezhil, the director of the original film, is directing the sequel as well marking his 25th film.
Vemal's Desingnu Raja 2 To Release On THIS Date
As per the producers, Designu Raja 2 will release on July 11. An interesting aspect is that, Vidayasagar, the popular music composer of the early 2000s, has composed the tunes for Desingu Raja 2.
The first part, a comedy starring Vemal, Bindu Madhavi, and Soori and was about two villages and a couple who unite, despite being from two feuding villages.
Desingu Raja 2's cast alongside Vemal, includes Pujita Ponnada, Harshitha, Vijay Tv fame Pugazh, Sneha Gupta, Singampuli, Chaams, Madhumitha, Vinoth, Muthu, and Ravi Mariya. Ravi Mariya, Singampuli, and Chaams in key roles.
The technical team for Desingu Raja 2 consists of Selva R as the director of photography, Anand Linga Kumar as the editor, Siva Sankar as the art director and action choreography by Fire Karthik. Babu and Preethi serve as creative producers with P Hari as the executive producer. R Balakumar served as a producer on the film, with P Ravichandran producing the film.
Bollywood star Sneha Gupta, who is popular for her roles in Sridevi Soda Center and Tees Maar Khan has appeared in the special dance number in the film.
Talking about the film to Times Of India, Veemal, said “The comedy has worked out well in this film. The director has helmed the project keeping in mind that the jolly vibe and the comedy element should be better than the first part. He has a lot of experience directing comedy and songs. Similar to Desingu Raja, this film will also feature many comedy artistes. We also improvised the comedy on set many times."
