Reply to "Shock-block for two weeks"
Please explain the problem? I dont see any more objections than one user telling me that 15 times out of 1 million edits the description is bad never explained what is better....
I have asked him to call me no feedback and I also guess this user started attacking me under a new id see 2001:7D0:81F8:9A80:19C:404E:9C75:2ADD / Talk:Q16410345 and then I feel he doesnt have a background working with structured data and user cases my feeling is he prefer unstructured info urls i.e. the way people work on sv:Wikipedia...
Its not a problem I just added some BBQ place lately and have supported a research project that use Wikidata information about Swedish PM and has some problems.., see Party IDs and Historical Names I am not sure LevandeMänniska can support them but I added a pointer to his profile... if they need support its at least a start...
- last issue #27 with inconsistency WD and the research projects data
- I informed them that I will not support them any more would be nice to see someone else take over the support I feel most people adding value to Wikidata and Swedish PM and have some data skills has given up see notes on this so dont hesitate as here you have a research project using Wikidata and need support see e.g. adding or not adding properties to WD that I opposed. This project has been going on more than 2 years....
@Salgo60: Much more established users than me have pointed out on more than one occasion that you are breaking the guidelines by writing confusing item descriptions, or no descriptions at all (several examples in the last week alone). Despite this, you have continued to violate the guidelines. And every time we users explain why you are doing wrong, you ignore the facts we present by constantly changing the subject.
@Estopedist1: This has been going on for so long that I don't think two weeks of blocking is enough.
@Estopedia can you explain the problem what records that upsets @LevandeMänniska and what is correct? I guess he has his own agenda as he is very related to the Wikimedia Sweden people... it started in 9 march 2019 when I explained that a project Europeana didnt use linked data instead just moved around text strings and created garbage.... in 12 dec 2019 user Costa threatened me see letter... my guess is that WIkimedia Sweden is afraid of telling Europeana that somethings is wrong as they would like to get founding from the project... still today 2024 I think they sends around text strings as no one tells them that they need to use linked data....
- also en:Wikipedia discussed Europeana and recommended not to link them T243764
- example when I checked today how Europeana 2024 think the painter Carl Larsson Q187310 is the same as Q5937128 see Portræt af August Svensson, der var fremtrædende i Svenska Sågvärkindustriarbtareförbundet og Skandinavisk Træarbejdersekretariat that is classified as 60886-carl-larsson
I checked some edits of @LevandeMänniska and I feel he is not a data person working with Entity Schemas more adding what he think is correct record by record.... I feel if wikidata should scale that is not the way forward and the complains on the description field in wikidata is just an excuse for something else....
Wikidata is for me over and out I just did some Swedish PM edits as I was pinged by the research project link as they lacked support.... and then found a few profiles that needed support...
@LevandeMänniska Explain what is correct I feel you have your own agenda ;-) and please let us know if you will support the research people or not if they need help... you can still call me ++46705152802 if that is easier maybe I will join you Sunday on wikidata talk...
This is ONLY about the bad and confusing item descriptions. Both @Ainali and @Larske have pointed out the problems in this discussion, but when it didn't have an effect I also wrote a post. However, the result is always the same: You start writing about something else.
