It is a good quality photograph with unambiguous license - the fact that someone deleted an article using it does not make it "unusable for any educational purpose". - Comment Image is not seen at link you provide. Perhaps it is only visible with paid membership? I note this photo has been on Wikimedia since 2008 and has long been displayed on nudism related articles in multiple Wikimedia projects. What indication do you have that this image was taken from that site rather than vice versa? What if any attribution is given to the photo at that site? Infrogmation (talk) 18:41, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- Delete. A search with the web archive shows that photos from this series were already on the external website in February 2008, although the user uploaded them here only in October 2008. See the other uploads by this user. Then see for example this page at the web archive. If the exact same photos are not displayed on the limited preview available on that page, photos from the same series are still easily identifiable by the same people and locations, for example the guy with the chin beard, the girl with the heart-shaped medallion, the girl cooking the hot dogs, etc. -- Asclepias (talk) 00:09, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
- Comment If the uploads seem to belong to the same series, could we imagine that the uploader is the author and would have released it on several websites (including Commons) ? It's hard to prove, I guess, but it's a possibility. --TwoWings * to talk or not to talk... 11:24, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- Comment I sent the uploader a series of questions two years ago with no response. I was uncomfortable about one of his excellect images as the lighting and shadow was wrong unless it was a posed shot. He has only uploaded four images: and each of the same friendship group all on the 11th September 2008. However we cannot prove it is a copyvio yet- that is the test we are applying.--ClemRutter (talk) 12:16, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- Delete. I hate to take this course of action, but the nudism galleries at purenudism.com don't appear to be user-submitted. While it's still possible that the uploader really is the photographer, we need stronger evidence than just a claim of own work. Powers (talk) 12:13, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

- Comment Look, the images in question are pictures of statues that were going to be thrown away, melted, or otherwise desecrated by the people of Taiwan. Most statues were destroyed. The surviving ones ended up in this park. These statues were commissioned in all cases by the government using public funds to commemorate a leader the majority of people in Taiwan no longer care about. I don't think there will ever be a copyright problem concerning these statues. But whatever. Fred Hsu (talk) 04:50, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

« The night-time light display is protected under copyright » as write in Category:Eiffel Tower at night VIGNERON (talk) 18:56, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
The court case - via Google Translate- is quite limited. It was about:
- "Whereas June 17, 1989, the company "The Image Mode" introduced in the 100th anniversary of the construction of the Eiffel Tower, a "sound and visual spectacle" consisting in particular of the effects of lighting of the tower by a combination of ramps and projectors, along with image projections and fireworks; that companies Publishing Is Protet and Editions Lyna-were carried out by Mr. Y ... photographs of this show, from which they have manufactured and marketed a series of postcards;"
that is a series of photos that attempted to give the gist of a dynamic light show with fireworks. Note that there is a concept of De minimus in the French law.
- Keep - this photo doesn't seem to be about the protected sound and light show - just a non-dynamic picture of the tower at night from an odd angle. Smallbones (talk) 19:21, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

- Canon DIGITAL IXUS 750 June 2008
- SONY DSC-W220 October 2037 <- funny date in exif
80% have no exif. Lots of images are ultra low resolution (eg: File:Classes-at-kalamandalam.jpg;File:Kanai.jpg) which look as if they come directly from a webpage.
Problem ist, that the images have been on en:wp and commons for ages and are used widely. I also havn't tagged the images jet as there are about 130 and I want to ask a bot operator to assist here.

Time Warner licensed the brand and invested in the production of the series based on 2 independent pilot we produced. That license has expired now.

Self made. No historical or other meaning or use. Out of scope. P199 (talk) 17:07, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- Keep Actually, traditionally Commons has been quite tolerant of "Special or fictional flags" (we have hundreds of them), unless they're maliciously hoaxing or hatemongering. Furthermore, there has also been tolerance (within certain limits) towards personal-use images on Wikipedia user pages, such as the use of File:FlagofGod.png in en:User:Wolfdog406/UBX/God. This userbox could of course be changed to use the SVG instead of the PNG (though it hasn't been done yet)... If thought to be necessary, either Template:Fictitious flag or Template:Userpageimage could be added, but I don't see a real need for deleting the image. -- AnonMoos (talk) 17:20, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- The present PNG userimage seemed better represented by a vector graphic, and it was thought to replace the PNG in the several userboxes which are multiple used.
- It has been an interesting effort to arrange the overlay of the different colors to create an extremely simple SVG file. Mainly it should serve as an essential example for manually coded simple SVG.
- I don't care But if the file is anyway really harmful to the Commons I won't oppose its deletion. -- sarang사랑 06:19, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

All these photos were almost certainly copied from various web pages. I have already found sources for a few files uploaded by this user (they were deleted earlier). It takes some time however. I would like to proceed with them all at once. Some files are reworked, e.g. here is source for this file. The image on Commons is cropped and with one additional cloud drawn on the sky. It makes difficult for google to find image source in some cases. -- Jakubhal 18:35, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

I found the identical image on this source http://wordpress.photoarts.com.br/page/61/ and there is no evidence it is freely licence nor was ever on Flickr Ww2censor (talk) 21:05, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Those labels were applied by APMNIR (www.apmnir.ro) in 2010 and are most likely copyrighted by them - even if information is not copyrightable, the layout is unique enough to be protected Strainu (talk) 21:24, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- I originally proposed this for speedy deletion, but Jcb considered it to simple to be eligible for copyright protection. I believe that both the text and the whole layout are original enough to be protected.--Strainu (talk) 21:27, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- Keep - plain information - that unique, copyrightable layout doesn't appear in the version of the image I see from here - Jcb (talk) 22:05, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

I doubt that mashleymorgan is the photographer of this Russian-built aircraft in flight. Please look at the EXIF-data: a person called "Pavel Novikov" is named as the author of this image. I assume this image comes from the official site of the Russian Aircraft Corporation (former MiG). High Contrast (talk) 23:10, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
