The article fails to acknowledge the KC students who in spring 1963 demonstrated outside the Tennesseean Theatre for not allowing Blacks to buy tickets and view movies. As a UT freshman fresh out of the USMC I demonstrated along with them. Many of us were jailed; however, I cannot recall whether KC students joined us at the Knoxville and Knox County Jails. If so they were held in the Blacks' sections; I was in the whites'. When a KC student leader told me that President Colson had called an assembly, I attended and asked him not to discourage their demonstrating. He neither discouraged them on that occasion nor had me arrested. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.206.148.92 (talk) 01:22, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
