Russia possibly shot an intercontinental ballistic missile at the city of Dnipro in Ukraine on Thursday. The missile came from the Russian region of Astrakhan.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said the missile was "new" and is being looked at. Western leaders are saying the ICBM claims are false. Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov said to reporters to talk to the Russian military for comment about the claim by the Ukrainian air force.
Some sources say it was a RS-26 Rubezh that was launched from Russia. Russia says it was a standard ballistic missile. Video possibly from the Dnipro attack showed many objects hitting the ground. Heorhii Tykhyi, Ukrainian foreign ministry spokesperson, said "we're awaiting expert conclusions to determine the exact type of new missile that Russia fired at Ukraine this morning, which had all flight characteristics of an ICBM."
A user posted video to X of the Dnipro attack.
