Wikinews gets own OTRS queue

[edit]

By Steven Fruitsmaak, June 26, 2007

User:Pilotguy informed people on the watercooler that

Wikinews now has its own queue within the Wikimedia OTRS system. The address is wikinews AT wikimedia DOT org.
Anyone wishing to volunteer for OTRS should leave their information here, keeping the requirements and responsibilities in mind. The volume of E-mails, however, should remain considerably lighter compared to other queues, so assistance is not necessary right now.

The Wikinews:OTRS is a way of contacting Wikinews by e-mail, for example to send original reporting pieces. A link can be posted on Wikinews to the e-mails, which can only be accessed by trusted users with access to the OTRS system.

Brian McNeil, Brian Anderton and myself have volunteered. Paul Williams and Daniel Bryant already have access.
