I am not at all certain that the first sentence of the article is really true. Angell's career has been primarily as a fiction editor at the New Yorker, and while he has definitely written many memorable pieces on baseball I don't see how that has been his entire career. Besides, I imagine that plenty of traditional "sportswriters" have specialized in baseball to the exclusion of other sports. --Wspencer11(talk to me...)14:32, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Angell was categorized in this article as a "short story writer." He may have had a few short stories published here and there (but none that I know of); nonetheless, that's hardly an accurate categorization for him.
