Ghalib Asad Bhopali (born 28 November 1969) is an Story,Screenplay and Dialogue writer and Lyricist in the Indian film and television industry. He is the youngest son of famous poet and lyricist Asad Bhopali
He has written the critically acclaimed movie Bhindi Baazaar Inc.(2011).
Ghalib is currently working on Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, with Director Kushan Nandy and Nawazuddin Siddiqui[1] The movie is expected to hit screens on August 2017. Another movie is on shooting floor staring Karan Singh Grover and Neil Nitin Mukesh for Director Ankoosh Bhatt with whom he worked for Bhindi Baazaar Inc.,Mumbai Mirror and 3 Dev,[2] which is also scheduled for release this year.
Early life
[edit]Ghalib Asad Bhopali born and brought up in Mumbai. His father belongs to Bhopal and carries “Bhopali” surname which is part of his name now.[3]
Ghalib Asad Bhopali started his film career as an Assistant Director with Pradeep Maini in Kaayda Kanoon but soon he started assisting Jalees Sherwani in film script writing. In 90’s he got the apportunity to write T.V. serial Shaktimaan with Mukesh Khanna which was followed by T.V. serial Maarshal for Sri Adhikari Brothers. He has penned Title track of Shaktimaan also.
Career
[edit]Ghalib’s first break in Hindi film industry as a dialogue writer for Wajahh- A Reason To Kill(2004) for Sri Adhikari Brothers & Lotus Films. He then write dialogue of Hum Dum(2005) for director Kushan Nandy. In 2011 he teamed up with director Ankush Bhatt. He wrote Bhindi Bazaar inc. for which he got huge critical acclaim. Then they again teamed up for next juncture Mumbai Mirror(2013) for Sachin Joshi.
