Australian: [ʉː]
Irish: [uː]
Notes
[edit]- For more rhymes, add d, ed or 'd to some words at -uː.
- In Scottish English, however, words in which -d is part of the word stem are pronounced /ʉd/ (e.g. crude), those in which it is an ending are pronounced /ʉːd/ (e.g. crewed). Such pairs accordingly constitute only impure rhymes.
- In dialects with the FOOT–GOOSE merger, words ending in /ʊd/ are also rhymes, with the above caveat in the case of Scottish English. See Rhymes ending in -ʊd for these words.
