Hamilton

Colombian Afrobeat artist Hamilton released his first singles as soon as he finished high school. In order to differentiate himself both from the urbano pack and Cartagena's champeta crowd, he decided to explore his Afro-Caribbean roots and work mostly on genres such as Afrobeat and dancehall, with some reggaeton on the side. It proved a wise move, as "Morena," one of his first efforts on the style, became a big hit in 2019. Hamilton's debut album, Los Reyes Del Mar, appeared in 2024.
