The Institute for the Study of War is an American nonprofit research group and think tank founded in 2007 by military historian Kimberly Kagan.[1] It provides research and analysis regarding issues of defense and foreign affairs.
The Institute of War Studies advances military affairs through reliable research, analysis, and innovative education.[2][3]The institute is committed to improving the nation's capabilities to conduct military operations and respond to threats in order to achieve US strategic objectives.[4]
