ON CAM: Israeli Radical Jews STORM IDF Event; Attack Soldiers, Ransack Venue, Injure Troops | WATCH
Violence erupted in Israel’s ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak when extremist Haredi protesters stormed an IDF gathering honoring parents of new recruits. Around 100 protesters forced their way into the venue, assaulting soldiers and senior officers from the newly formed Hashmonaim Brigade, a unit central to Israel’s conscription debate. A rabbi teaching Torah to ultra-Orthodox soldiers was beaten unconscious and partially stripped. Several soldiers were injured. Senior commanders were evacuated under police protection. The IDF condemned the attack, calling it a red line. Political leaders warned the violence highlights Israel’s deepening internal divide over military service.
