There are two completely different stories that have a few returning characters and even though both stories have their own ending, I would recommend to read first the Shadow of the Wind.(less)

They have characters that cross over each story. I got this straight from the author's web site. I have read two of the 3 books, and am excited to get to the last one. He is an amazing author. If you skip some of this book, it isn't going to have much effect when you read the last one I wouldn't think. I'd try and hang with the book though. It is craziness at its best.(less)

I just started Part 3 of The Angel's Game, but something has been bugging me the entire time. Where on earth is Bea? If Daniel is older than David, and Daniel married Bea at 19 and had Julian Sempere shortly thereafter, where are they? Will I no longer be confused about the timeline when I finish? I am not sure how it will make a difference. Am I missing something?

I agree with Karla that The Shadow of the Wind is the better book. The Angel's Game was intriguing, but I disliked the ending and felt that the book left me with unanswered questions. Did anyone else feel the same way?
