Additional Historical Materials
The Library's print and online collections provide valuable historical coverage. Library resources include, but are not limited to:
- Elections: Corresponding notebook collection includes news clippings, voter guides and reports.
- Governors, 1849-Present: Corresponding notebook collection includes newspaper articles and other ephemera.
- Legislative district files, 1970-2001 in microfilm, 2000-2009 available digitally on the legislative campus, and from 2009 to the present in the Library's News Archive.
- Minnesota Agencies: Information on state agencies, boards, task forces, and commissions since the early 1970s.
- Minnesota Personalities clipping files on former Minnesota legislators and selected prominent Minnesotans (List of personalities). Years 2009 to the present are available in the Library's News Archive.
- Opinion Polls: A collection of Minnesota opinion polls, dating back to the 1960s, is digitally available and searchable by year, topic, and/or poll name.
- Subject collections on topics such as the budget crisis of 1980-1983, separation of powers, the Minnesota Miracle, and more (list of 41 titles).
- Subject files with articles from metro and selected greater Minnesota newspapers, 1970 to 2009 (subject codes).
- Vetoes: Corresponding notebook collection includes supplemental materials such as news articles, information briefs, and court cases.
