Format

@Mr. Fulano, Pigsonthewing, ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2, Uomovariabile: Hello. Have you guys noticed my message there? Not paying enough attention to format as a regular expression (P1793), I have imported a few alphabetical IDs from Template:Tolweb (Q14447419) through Harvest Templates (Q21914398). Now I'm left wondering. Should I remove them and respect the proposal or should we actually change the regex from numerical IDs to alphabetical ones because this is how they are currently stored on Wikipedias? @Thierry Caro: Sorry but I didn't see your message. I'm not an expert but generally, working with QS, I prefer the numerical IDs, if accepted (in fact I did a test by entering numeric values manually p.e. Atelopus (Q780071) and, as you said, it works correctly). On the other hand, it seems to me that browsing TOL, the alphabetical suffix is much more intuitive. For this reason changing the regex is probably the best solution. Dunno if i'm not considering the technical issues. --Uomovariabile (talk to me) 08:06, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

@Mr. Fulano, Uomovariabile: Thank you. I think we will stick to the numbers, eventually. Links such as http://tolweb.org/Ammonoidea bring one to the page about Cephalopod (Q128257) through a redirect and I don't think we want this to happen.
