Unexpectedly, I really loved this. I genuinely enjoyed it a lot, even though it didn’t necessarily sound like my kind of thing initially. In the end, I’m very happy I gave it a shot.
The premise sounds weirdly kinky, but the sex scenes aren’t that many, and I thought all of it felt organic and didn’t take away from the main relationship.
Ollie and Goran obviously have sex with other people in this book, but they do end up being exclusive when they get together.
It was very dramatic with lots of jealousies, betrayals and miscommunications, but instead of that being annoying, it was all incredibly entertaining. I honestly was completely invested in it all. I felt anger, frustration and relief at everything that happened.
And yes, sure, the relationship could have had a little more depth, but I noticed that I was still very much rooting for them regardless. I thought they were cute together with lots of tension between them, and I simply adored how obsessed Goran was with Ollie.
I just had lots of fun with this, never felt bored, and was very much into it all.
I do have to admit that the ending felt irritatingly abrupt, and I really wanted more from it. Certain things weren’t addressed, which I truly think should have been. That was definitely my biggest complaint.

I checked out the blurb and this sounds like the weirdest book ever😳😂 So glad you enjoyed it despite low expectations. I’m not surprised about the drama, it sounds like Big Brother but with cat kink in da house😂🤣 Great review, Imme💜
@Nelly — hahah yess, it sounds indeed soo weird. That’s why i was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it. I did not expect that at all hahahAlso, I’m absolutely cackling about your big brother comment🤣 you’re honestly not even really wrong lmaooo
Every book that gets high praise from you sounds intriguing but with the whole jealousies and miscommunication thing I’d rather not pick this up then. But I’m glad you had such a good time with it ❤️
@Kati — Aw thank you❤️❤️ but yes, I totally understand why you wouldn’t like all the drama here. I personally wasn’t bothered by it, but I know lots of people find it soooo annoying, so I figured it was a good idea to put it in my review as a bit of a warning lolll
It’s too bad you won’t get to have as much fun with this one as i did ;)) but i get it hahah
This has been sitting on my TBR for a while and I'm not sure why I haven't read it yet, lol. I'm so glad to hear you liked it!
@Rebecca — Thanks!! I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it! Hopefully you’ll end up enjoying it💗
Great review! I’m glad you liked this. I read a Merikan book recently I think…a motorcycle romance and it was unique.
@Kate — thank you! And yes, Merikan’s books really do tend to be unique and different. It’s one of the things I really like about them, even if sometimes they don’t turn out all that great. I truly enjoy most of them though!
glad you still enjoyed this, imme, despite the small quibbles you had. seems to be different than what these authors traditionally write.
@elena — Thanks! And yes, it definitely is different, but I’m not even surprised: these authors write so many different things hahah
Yay! So glad you gave it a shot and worked in the end. Never bored is good enough for me. Nice review Imme! Hope road trip keeps bringing fun reads :D
Love to see that the drama and miscommunications added to the story rather than feeling contrived or forced - wonderful review, Imme!
