There was once a son of a king who fell in love with the shepherd's daughter, but the girl would not have him, unless he learned a craft. A man must know a craft!
Meh. It was ok for a 2 page pseudo folk tale. I know how to make origamis. The prince learned to weave straw rugs. But all I had in my mind is:

Manualidades.
Había una vez el hijo de un rey que se enamoró de la hija del pastor, pero la muchacha no lo quería, a menos que aprendiera una manualidad. ¡Un hombre debe saber alguna manualidad!
Meh. Estuvo ok para un pseudo cuento folclore de 2 páginas. Yo sé hacer origamis. El príncipe aprendió a tejer alfombras de paja. Pero todo lo que tenía en la mente es:
