Amity 4EVER.

The five faction society has entered a point of no return. Abnegation wiped out, Erudite and Dauntless fighting each other and everyone else, Amity and Candor dragged into a war they never asked for; and from the shadows, the rising Factionless, those without a faction. Tris, the runaway Divergent, along Four and a handful of refugees, trying to survive in world prone to destroying itself completely.

This was an excellent sequel, although not as good as the that perfect first Divergent. LOVED getting to know the Amity faction in detail; how their society worked, the joint decision making process, their self-sufficiency, and how they were so mellow man! And that’s why I’ll always chose Amity over any other faction. My hometown. I have mixed feelings regarding Johanna though, and also don’t remember Evelyn fondly at all. Peter still a triple crossing bastard, (view spoiler)[ and not saddened at all to see Eric go, or Jeanine. (hide spoiler)]

Several moments to remember by. (view spoiler)[ the assault on Amity, the interrogation at Candor, and the storming of Erudite. (hide spoiler)] A lot of action, plot twists, heartbreak, heart melt, and a mind-blowing ending. A good and solid sequel in every sense. Recommendable.

*** Insurgent (2015) is an ok adaptation that sadly doesn’t make any justice to the book. The scenography is gorgeous, the actions scenes on point, great effects, decent screenplay, faithful to the book; yet for everything done right on the whole it amounted to average at best. I’m not exactly sure what went wrong. The first movie was good, not great but good; this second one was barely acceptable. Good enough to watch, sure, just don’t expect much.

Cordialidad 4100PRE.

La sociedad de las cinco facciones entró en un punto sin retorno. Abnegación destruida, Erudición y Osadía peleando entre sí y contra todos los demás, Cordialidad y Verdad involucradas en una guerra que nunca pidieron; y desde las sombras, los emergentes Abandonados, aquellos sin facción. Tris, la fugitiva Divergente, junto a Cuatro y un puñado de refugiados, tratando de sobrevivir en un mundo empeñado en autodestruirse completamente.

Esta fue una excelente secuela, aunque no tan buena como fue ese primer perfecto Divergente. . AME conocer la facción de Cordialidad en detalle; cómo funciona su sociedad, el proceso de toma de decisiones en conjunto, la autosuficiencia, ¡y cómo eran de pacíficos! Y es por eso que siempre elegiré Cordialidad por sobre cualquier otra facción. Es mi hogar. Aunque tengo sentimientos mezclados con respecto a Johanna, y tampoco guardo cariño por Evelyn. Peter siempre un bastardo triple traicionero, (view spoiler)[ y no me entristeció para nada ver partir a Eric, o Jeanine. (hide spoiler)]

Muchos momentos para el recuerdo. (view spoiler)[ el ataque a Cordialidad, el interrogatorio en Verdad, y el asalto a Erudición. (hide spoiler)] Mucha acción, giros de trama, momentos desgarradores y conmovedores, y un final que vuela la mente. Una buena y sólida secuela en todo sentido. Recomendable.

*** Insurgente (2015) es una adaptación aceptable que lamentablemente no le hace mucha justicia al libro. La escenografía es hermosa, las escenas de acción acordes, geniales efectos, decente guión, fiel al libro; y aun así por todo lo que salió bien en su conjunto llega a ser promedio como mucho. No estoy exactamente seguro que salió mal. La primer película era buena, no excelente pero buena; esta segunda fue apenas aceptable. Suficientemente buena para ver, por supuesto, sólo no esperen mucho.
