Marked as possible vandalism
[edit]In the german wikipedia, a user asked, why the additions of this property to the items Gerda von Rüxleben and Gert Omar Leutner are marked as possible vandalism. So, why are they? I agree, that they're no vandalism. Both persons appear on that site neither as actors nor as dubbing actors but as directors of the dubbing resp. as authors of the dubbing equivalent of a screenplay. The Deutsche Synchronkartei currently displays a warning, that this is a new functionality and that the data might not be without flaws. Is any of this a possible reason for that mark? - Some edits are tagged automatically by the software if they look suspicious, it's meant to help with patrolling. The user should just disregard them. Infrastruktur (talk) 19:38, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
- yeah, however it would be interesting to understand why they (two out of many other of this property) are suspicious. Any idea? Elya (talk) 12:49, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- I can't go into specifics, but basically it's normal on Wikidata for an external identifier to look like gibberish, and so the rate of false positives go up. If you suspect there are too many false positives for this particular property it could be whitelisted, you can ping User:Lymantria if you wish to have that done.
